Gee, I would sure do that Judy, if we weren't so far from Alabama. Oh well, I only make that offer once so you just missed out...

I use the fabric softner dryer sheets WalMart brand to clean both the TV and TT and they work better than anything I have used. I wet the TV or TT down then use one sheet at a time going over the effected areas, changing sheets as needed. They didnt seem to remove the wax and did a great job getting everything off the finish that wasnt supposed to be there.

I haven't tried the dryer sheets yet, but one that works great for me is the "Awesome" Patio Furniture Cleaner, just spray it on and the bugs just start melting away, then add water and a little elbow grease.I wonder if continued use of the rough surface of the dryer sheets might eventually harm the finish on the cap?

I used the dryer sheets when we washed the 5er several weeks ago. I couldn't believe how all the "dirt" just came off so easy-just melted away that black dirt along all the "seams" of the 5er. I actually used the sheets that we had put in various places when storing last winter--good way to get rid of them without wasting them.

Kenny and Virginia, the dryer sheets are "rough" finished but they're not a harsh finish so I don't think it will hurt anything. They're no more harsh than the bug scrubbers you buy for that purpose. I suspect it's the mesh size that makes the difference and perhaps the chemicals in the sheets (don't know about that) since new ones seem to work better than used ones and wet better than dry.
Jan, I haven't tried the dryer sheets other than for bugs but now after reading your post I'll have to try them around the seams. Thanks.
