Fifth Airborne here as well. Does a better job than the Mor Ryde pin box with the rubber block inside. I liked the 5th Airborne better because I didn't care for the Trail Air's shock and bag sticking out in front, but I'm sure they accomplish the same purpose.

Last year we drove cross country. By the time we got to the east coast, our backs were done... Ordered 5th Airborn to be delivered to Campground. Installed it (with help) and the difference was unbelievable. Drove home and neither of us had any back issues. Cured the chucking and bucking 99%. Did have to purchase portable air compressor to maintain air pressure, great to have one for tires anyway. One thing always leads to another.

I have a portable as well as onboard auto air for the suspension bags.
I don't mind seeing the shock, and liked the link better in the Lippert. being rated 21k was nice too.
24k rails, 20k hitch, and a 21k air pinbox, I'm getting close on the whole package now. Next and hopefully the last mod is going to be installing drop shackles to level the rig better.

Had a height issue with the new unit. Did not want to raise the camper already at `13-"5. What to do? Lower the truck with lowering shackles that the swamp people have been using for years, so here`s a pic, easy to install, cheap, solves problem

Odd. We have owned 3 different Montanas each with different non-air hitches. We have pulled these fivers with 2 different trucks and have NEVER had an issue with even the least amount of chucking. Did you check if you have enough pin weight?

The 3701 will allow you to lighten the pin weight if you load up the storage tray in the back. It would also be interesting to know what hitch is being used. Also is your TV properly sized.

I have been comparing the trail air to the airborne. I have a short box with a pullrite and it looks like the airborne extend further out than the trail air. My standard hitch Lippert 1716 extends out and I can make a very tight turn with no issues. I need the tight turn to pull in my driveway to line it up for th pull building. Both appear to be similar. More research I guess

Just to add a tidbit, DRV used Mor/ryde Pin Boxes for years, then switched to the Lippert TrailAir Tri-Glide and I believe they are back to the Mor/ryde as there were too many problems with the Tri-Glide, which has since been dropped by Lippert.

I spent hours (days) trying to decide between Trail Air and Airborn air ride pin box. Liked that Airborn airbag protected from UV. Just couldn't justify extra $$ for TRAIL air. Very happy with Airborn
