New Castle, IN
Walnut Ridge CG
This is a beautiful well manicured CG out in the IN countryside. The owners live across the street from the CG entrance. The CG does not have provisions for dumping sewer or gray water at your site. We stayed a week and I had to use our blue boy one time. A beautiful country golf course a few miles away and great family restaurants in New Castle.
There is a well maintained dump station as you exit the CG. It's also easy to dump and flush your "Blue Boy" there.
Our site was a pull thru with W&E (50A) and a concrete slab. We had clear skies for our dish antenna.

Natchez Trace state park sits on a huge section of land about 8 miles south of I-40 at exit 108. It has all the amenities you would expect from a large SP and more.
Our parking site was the largest we ever had in all of our travels. It was a 50 AMP FHU and washing the tow vehicle and RV were allowed, once. There are three different RV parking areas. We were parked at the Pin Oak CG. It’s been awhile since we’ve been there. On our last stay your CG receipt acted as your fishing license. It allowed everyone at your campsite to fish in all of the park’s lakes and streams. I could walk across the CG road in front of our trailer, walk down a well used path and fish from the banks all the way to pavilion 2. I got some nice bass and pan fish on my trips down that path.
The link is active.

Dubois and Union Pass Wy
We camped at Longhorn RV Park. Drove up to Lynwoods favorite spot - Union Pass. It is to windy and rough for me to try pulling up the mountain tho. Wyoming is my favorite state and I would think about staying there all summer if I could talk the wife into it!!
First pic is campground - note river to the right. We had a maybe 50-75 ft. walk to the river.
Others are Brooks lake near by and last is Union pass looking at the Tetons in the background.
p.s. - Where are all the Rocky Mtn posts - most in the east, which in my opinion is not nearly as scenic. Gotta have (big) mountains for me!

Wyoming is my favorite place. I remember those pictures of Brooks Lake because I have pictures just like them. The next time you go to Brooks Lake take your fishing pole and hike up to Upper Brooks Lake. It’s an easy walk with only a slight grade of a mile or two and the lake is full of trout.

It’s worse up on Union Pass far worse. Then there are the black flies. Mosquitoes are a minor inconvenience the black flies will eat you alive. The best time to go is September. They are all gone by then. The worse mosquitoes I ever saw was in the low lands in South Carolina. We used 4 wheelers hunting down there and they looked like black snow coming up. Far worse than Union Pass. Look up Cowden Plantation. A friend owns that and my brother and I used to go turkey hunting on it in the spring.

Rancho Verde RV Park - Camp Verde, AZ
When the winter months start to turn into spring in Arizona, the northern ’Snowbirds” get antsy and start north, leaving a lot of really nice RV Parks nearly empty. For us it was just time to move to a higher elevation from our winter stop in Yuma and stay another month in an area loaded with sights to behold for the first time.
Our traveling companions were with us on this stop at Camp Verde. We had done our home work well. The Rancho Verde RV Park was an outstanding base camp for our numerous side trips in the are. Way off the major highways and roads it presented a quiet family atmosphere. The owners/managers - that live on the grounds - were gracious hosts at all times during our month long stay.
The park offers two levels for parking. The lower one has a bubbling stream thru it. The upper level is much easier to park in and get satellite TV reception so we stayed there. We also got to park side by side there.
The area is about 3200 feet above sea level and did not give us any problems. Trivia: Worlds largest Kokopelli is there.

KOA Myrtle Beach, SC
Very expensive with extra charges for day guests among other outrageous things. It’s hard to go outside of your RV and not break one of their rules. Most unfriendly KOA we ever stayed at, and we have stayed at a lot of them.
The sites are large and well maintained. The FHU includes basic cable TV and 50-amp electrical service.
Linda’s brother has a year-round condo at River Oaks and this park is close to his condo. He gets a lot of golfing comps, and it helps equal out our overall costs for staying at the KOA.

Right now, with a 38' fiver, 2 adults and 0 pets it's about $120.00 a night. If you're a card-carrying member there is a 10% discount, and a gold card will get you a 15% discount. We always use our 15% military discount but that's always a site manager's decision.

Both this thread and the pics remind me of lyrics from Johnny Cash - "I've been everywhere".
Truly awesome photos!
