We have the XC2100 combo up in the front closet and it works fine, but the Monty has the jitter bugs when washing. There must be some way to minimize this movement without changing floorplans.

X2 about the grease and oil. Spring of 2011 while looking for a winter place we didn't have a washer/dryer so we had to use campground laundry facilities. At least two of Ann's shirts were ruined by grease of something left in the tub. Ordered our Splendide on the way home and now don't leave home without it.

We made our combo unit part of the deal back in Oct of 09. We nly used it twice in 3 1/2 years. DW was not sure she would ever use it. Fast forward to this long trip we are on. She uses it, she likes it. It simply took a few loads to learn how to manage the loads, ie how full, how much dryer time, etc. We have clean cloths and save money over going to the laundry.

We didn't have the choice - the space confined us to the all-in-one, but I love it. It's great to put in a load and leave - come home, it's all dry! If only it would fold & put away too, I'd be all set! :-)

An advantage of the combo unit is that you can start a load of clothes and then leave for the day. When you get back the load should be dry and ready to come out. However, we switched from the combo to the stackable units. We can do laundry much faster now and the results are less wrinkled clothes. We can also do larger loads and it takes way less time than the combo unit we had. We have no intention of going back to the combo unit.
