Auxiliary Fuel Tanks
All you folks that have the gravity fed aux fuel tanks, do you have a fuel filter in the line between the aux tank and the fill neck?

I do not, since I figure there is no need for a redundant filter since the truck itself has one that is changed regularly. I typically change the fuel filter every year with the truck's annual oil change each spring. We do not run many miles considering the truck is a 2007 model with 60,000 or so miles on it.

I have had my 41 gal installed now for four years, no secondary filter. Like Bingo, just keep the main filter replaced around every 15K.

No in line filter here as well. Just change truck fuel filter about every 12000 miles as above.

I have had mine for 9 years with no filter. Like stated above I rely on the truck main filter to handle things.

My 60 gal RDS tank feeds directly into the main tank. No extra filter.
However, my '12 only has one filter, engine mounted. I am strongly considering adding a water separator filter between the OEM tank and the OEM filter.

No filter here. Just Chang the inline truck filters every 15000 mils.

No in-line filter for me either. Change both fuel filters every other service. (15,000).
