Tow a 5th Wheel without a P/U Truck?
That is what they are saying. But how about the weight restrictions?
You have got to see this.

Defeats all the advantages of a king pin hitch setup. Fifth wheel becomes a tagalong. Also impacts capacity of the tow vehicle since pickups have two weight specs, one for conventional towing, one for fifth wheel towing which is higher..

I see two major problems right off the bat. One major problem is I would be extending my total length by at least 15', maybe more, so good luck getting in to 80% of campground sites.
The second problem for me is that it creates another hook-up procedure to go through.
About the only good thing about having one could be for someone that has exceeded their pin weight. It does appear to be able to handle a lot of weight.

I saw a delivery rig hauling two empty goose-neck horse trailers using one of those to pull the second trailer. I did a double check when he went by..haha

I would pay to watch you back your 5th wheel into a site.

I can see some special applications for that. But not normal towing.

Watch out for the Ford Explorer going down the road towing a 16K pound Montana.

With a large tow behind hitch stabilizers are a necessity. I wonder how this would work in the wind or near semi's.

I would love to see him stop quickly at about 50 miles an hour!

Interesting product...seems well engineered, but apart from the possible issues already mentioned, it sure does point out the need for hiring professionals to produce your ads! It would have been nice to have a bit more technical explanation of how it works, along with a more "interesting" narration. Nice shirt though...

They are pulling an empty trailer around. What will happen when he tryes to pull a 14,000 lbs fiver. Try going down a hill with a curve in it as the fiver pushes the SUV arround. If one is going to buy a heavy trailer then buy a proper truck to pull it with. If all you can afford is an SUV then buy a light trailer or a tent trailer. JMHO.

If I see something like this coming up beside me I'm pulling over and letting them have the road.

I remember seeing similar set-ups like that back in the 50's with traveling workers pulling their homes behind their cars, not as advanced as this one, however, same principal. I built similar pups to haul a heavy trailer behind my motorcycle, worked very well.

Doesn't this have a good chance of far exceeding the TV's CGVWR? Those vehicles don't have all that high of a weight capacity, therefore stopping this load or going up grades will be dangerous.
