Is it Photobucket or Firefox??
When I went to look at Dick's photos of Joyce's mural on Photobucket, my Firefox began acting strangely. I am using Windows 7 Professional (so all you Apple guys don't get snarky, and you KNOW who you are).
The Firefox tab on the task bar starting flashing bright & dim at a regular rate, and screen response was slow. Then after I finished keying my reply, I noticed that many letters in my reply were MISSING! When I went to fix it, the keys wouldn't work several times, and I had to re-key.
I exited Photobucket and the Firefox tab stopped flashing, and my keyboard seemed to be working fine again.
Did this happen to anyone else here while looking at Dick's photos? I'm wondering if this is a Firefox thing or a Photobucket thing?
Maybe a Pat thing???
Here's the link to the photos: http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=51666

Good morning Pat. I went and looked at the photos and did not encounter any problems. Wish I could be of more help. Maybe just go into the phoobucket again and see if it was just a connection glitch. Good luck.

I should have added that it doesn't start to flash unless I select an image to display. Just noticed the same thing happens when I go to National Review Online's web site, too. I wonder if Firefox is trying to download one of the thousands of snippets and little other windows that webmasters like to add to their pages now.

Firefox & Windows 7 and I could view the photos. I did have to click on each photo, the arrows to advance did not work.

I have Firefox 14.0.1, and W7 (current maintenance). Photobucket has no issues and I can click on the arrows to go forward (or backwards) from the current large picture. No flashing tabs or other strange behavior.

My answer, Chrome. Simple, has worked for me for over 2 years. I know, Pat, that does not help you one bit, but, it is, afterall, WINK WINK, my answer. Good luck.

Here is something you might want to check. Firefox, like other browsers uses "Plug ins". It may be that one or more are either not installed or have been disabled which might make the pictures not show up properly or you might not be able to use the arrows to move forward or back.
Click on Tools, a drop down menu will appear, then click on Add ons. There are several choices so click on Plug ins. They will show up here and it will show if they are enabled or disabled. If on the right it says "disable" that means it is currently enabled.
Good luck, if you don't see anything there, I could post a list of what ones are enabled on mine and you could check that list against yours.
Just a suggestion, as my Firefox Ver 15.0.1 and Windows 7 works fine.

Ed,
I think that was it! I'd forgotten I'd installed a plug-in to do web page screen shots. When I disabled it, Photobucket and the several other sites with which I was having problems displayed fine. Thank you!
Kiss!

The car is just an old Cadillac. The really cool car would have shown up if I took the picture facing the other direction. Behind me was an early 40's Cadillac that needs to be restored (all the parts are there and the chrome is pretty good, the leather and the roof need work). The reason the roof needs work is it's a "moon roof" and currently rusted open. I freaked when I saw it, a "moon roof" in the early 40's? Apparently they did make them, but only made a couple hundred.
