Washer/Dryer combo installed
Ran into one little snag but it's installed. When I picked the spot I wanted the ventI I drilled into an aluminum brace that ran horizontal with the floor, The top of it is right at 2ft. I put a bent coat hanger in it and turned it when I got to the 10 o'clock and the 2 o'clock position it quit turning. And when I poked it straight in I could hear it hit the outside wall of the beam. So I measured up another 2 1/2 inches and had no problems drilling. I did not want to go any higher than the bottom of the cabinet and was trying to keep it low for looks outside, Plus any higher and I would have had to run the vent in front of the cabinet which would have blocked most of it. And as you can see any lower and I would have been really close to the out side 110v outlet and not knowing where the wires are I did not want to chance going lower.
Ok so now everyone else who uses the Splendide WD2100XC? What are some tricks and tips For good results.

Wash small loads and be patient. The combo is nice but if you wash large loads they might wrinkle. Glad it worked out for you & you were able to avoid the brace.

Small loads is the key. Also, we got little ketchup & mustard bottles to make it easier to squeeze the detergent and softener into the little trays in the tight space. Enjoy!!!! :-)

Thank you, that is a great idea for the detergent and softner! I looked all around for the right container with a lid. Never quite found what I thought would work well. Walmart has clear ones also. This Moc is great! Thanks for sharing!

In case your manual did not have this information, read Splendide Tips for some good info.

Thanks Bill, don't have one, so no owners manual, just considering the option.

Considering the size of clothes depends on the size of person, it is individual. For us (5'3" woman, 6' man, both on the slimmer side) - we can put a week's worth of underwear and socks in one load. (And before anyone asks - yes, we change our underwear everyday!!! ) T-Shirts.....about five, maybe six. Jeans.....three.
Hope this helps!

Small loads=1/2 full drum, also I find 1-2 tsp of detergent is plenty, the splendide rep said use vinegar once a month to remove soap scum, I use vinegar instead of fabric softener so I got that problem solved. I only dry towels and sheets and hang every thing else. Love our combo
