The device in the photo you posted that has the melted terminal is called a trombetta. It is a device that changes the way voltage is applied to your slide pump motor to change the rotation. One direction of rotation runs the slides out ... the opposite direction of rotation runs them in. Either you had a loose connection or the trombetta was faulty to cause that kind of heat.

Isn't Trombetta a brand name, a manufacturer of solenoids, contactors, etc.?

Bill ... you're right ... it's technically a "reversing polarity DC contactor", but like several devices, commonly referred to by it's manufacturer's name. Case in point right off a Lippert data sheet

The one opening solenoid actuates all the slides to the open position and the one closing solenoid actuates all the slides to the closed position.
I know the slides are already in, but if you actuate the switch to retract them do you hear the pump run? Just momentarily actuate the switch, don't hold it.
If you hear the pump start, then the system is probably OK except for the opening solenoid.
If you do not hear the pump start, then the next thing to check is the auto reset circuit breaker.

Don't know exactly what yours looks like, but here is a picture of mine (before I replaced the single pump breaker with a pair). The left one (under the red cover) is for the slide pump, the other for everything else.
If it is like mine, you will have a cable directly from your battery to one side of the breaker. You should have +12v to both sides of the breaker. If you have +12v to the battery side but not the other side then the breaker is bad. If you do have +12v on both sides, then there may be some other problem.

OK, somewhat different than mine but similar. I am guessing the heavy black wire jumpering from one breaker to the other then goes to the battery positive terminal.
Using a voltmeter with the negative lead on the battery negative terminal, you should measure +12v on both screws on both sides of those auto reset circuit breakers.
For future reference, the large pink colored wire with the in-line fuse supplies power to your front jacks. If the jacks ever fail to function, check that fuse first. 30 amp on mine. Good to have a couple on hand just in case.

I tried the manual override today with the hex fitting a flexible extension and a corded drill and it turns but does nothing...

When the manual over-ride failed to extend the slides after a failure on our previous rig, we were fortunate to have an extended service plan that replaced both the hydraulic pump and the pump motor. Sounds like a similar problem. The cause for our failure was a flip-flop shoe beneath one of the slides.

Just a last guestimate ... Did you happen to close the manual shutoff valves to each slide and forgot??? Did you try both clockwise and conterclockwise with the drill motor? If neither of the above matters ... it sure is looking like the pump itself.

Does anyone know where the room slide motor is located on a 2009 3400RL? I hear it but can't seem to see where it is.
