When you buy batteries there's always some kind of longer term warranty of some kind and the term is more than one year. For example, I just bought a couple of batteries for my Ford truck and they have an 8 year warranty - 3 full years, then the next five prorated at some rate.
I imagine that the battery supplier for the rigs provide the same thing or whomever provides the battery warranty.
There are cheap batteries out there, and there are batteries even with a warranty that will die an early death. I do try and find the best rated batteries I can find and my rig had a couple of Interstates, and one went bad, but it's been 5 years. The other one seems to be going strong so far.
Let us know what you can drum up, but I sure hope that battery is not a permanent short-term loss.
