Tire question
I always check my tires when on the road. I stopped at a rest stop Friday. When I checked the tires I found the right rear was hot to the touch and the tread has rounded. The other three were wearing flat and even and were warm to the touch but not hot. I have never seen a tire round like this. I still have the Marathon tires on at 80psi. Does this sound like a tire problem or wheel bearing problem? Tires have about 10K miles on them.

You broke the bead on the tire. It happened to me and Goodyear made good on the tire.

I hope you took that tire off, the tread has seperated from the casing and could come off causing much damage to your trailer

Thanks all for the info. I guess I was lucky. After finding the tire problem I made it 200 miles back home with no blowouts. I will go ahead and replace all four before the next trip in March. Now just got to decide between BFG commercial or Firestone Transforce. Both same price and good reviews. Glad it's warming up. I can smell camping in the air.

I have no experience with the Transforce but have had excellent experience with the Commercial T/A's on our prior Montana. Either would be better than what's on there now, for sure.

I lost the tread on a Marathon on I-75 earlier this year. Had a new set put on and noticed another tire was separating. Did some damage to side of rv.
