At least on my Dodge, Banks recommends using Tow/Haul mode in conjunction with the Banks Brake. The trans control module included with the Banks Brake works better to control torque converter lockup function as well as other shifting parameters with the T/H mode engaged. I love that the BB also includes a seperate O/D defeat switch because (on the Dodge at least) you otherwise have to choose between Tow/Haul mode OR O/D off. Stock won't allow both, it's one or the other.
With T/H mode ON, the Brake engaged and O/D off I rarely have to even touch the brake pedal. But then I haven't towed with the new Monty yet, but I expect it will work very well. My experience was coming down from Lake Tahoe (steep grades) with a 30' bumper pull...about 8k lbs.
