Furnace reset?
Is there such a thing? This weekend it was quite cold up north and we couldn't get the furnace to light. When we went to bed, I set it for 65, and the blower kicked on and I never thought another thing about it. But when we got up it hadn't been on the rest of the night and we couldn't get it to come on again.
Is there a reset for it or something you need to do to get it to come on again? We just filled the propane tanks so we know they were full, what else could it be?

Possibly air in the line. I usually turn on the burners on the cooktop to "blead" any air out of the lines before lighing water heater or furnace.
Good Luck!

When that happens how long do you leave the burners on?

Ok, I'm home now and tried the furnace - getting the air out of the lines because we replaced the propane and it still hasn't kicked on. I can hear it click like it wants too but the blower isn't starting. Anyone have any suggestions besides taking it to the dealer on what I could try?

Is the valve on the furnace turned on? That is the first place I would start, then I would bleed the line to the furnace and check for the propane there. I would also look to see if the ignitor lights when calling for heat. Do you have the thermostat set to heat? This is some of the simple things we overlook but need to check first before taking it in to the dealer.

Sounds like a good idea to check some simple reasons for not kicking off. Keep us posted. Happyrving.....

I also light the stove burners first to bleed the lines. Never had any problems when I do that first.

If, after you've ch recked all you propane leads and found that you have sufficient volume and pressure, then if it is still doing the same thing it is most likely the igniter board. Ours went out not too long after we had the unit. Quick easy fix for the dealer. Have had no problem since.

Were you boondocking? According to my dealer and our own experience when the on board batteries voltage drops below 10.5 volts the furnace won't ignite. Maybe start your vehicle and run the furnace for a while as the battery is being recharged. Add more of those onboard batteries. Heavy suckers but 2 or 3 would be needed depending on how long you plan to boondock in cool weather. Lights. furnace motor, water pump, maybe a tv and vcr all consume the juice rapidly if you are living on one 12v battery.

No we weren't boondocking, we were plugged into shore power albeit only 110 but it worked for what we needed. I did bleed the lines and I know the propane is working because the stove works so it has to be something with the furnace itself. I'm calling the dealer this morning to see if they have any other ideas and if not, it is a trip back to them to have them check it. With the cool weather here at night, we can't be w/out the furnace, and the fireplace draws too much electricity and will blow a breaker if we are plugged in using the 110 cord to someones house. Thanks again for all your help everyone.

We run the stove until good flame all the way around on all burners. That indicates we no longer have any air in the lines. On my old trailer when this happened with the furnace, I would open the fuse box and apply pressure to the fuse. Apparently the connection wasn't that good as appling pressure usually worked. If you are getting the clicking sound then your igniter is working so best bet is taking back to dealer. Good Luck and let us know what happens.

In looking at one of your posts from yesterday afternoon, you indicate the igniter is clicking but the blower is not coming on. When you set the thermostat the blower should come on first and then the clicking from the igniter. If your blower is not blowing you might want to check the breaker to see if patially tripped. I know the unit will not light if the blower is not running first, that is a safety feature.
Good Luck

I will have Mike check that again when he gets home in a 1/2 hour. Maybe it was tripped or maybe we had a bad fuse. At least when he's home it will be easier to fix instead of at our friends house. If this doesn't work it's off to the dealer because we are scratching our heads. I hope it's as simple as this and not a bad blower or motor.

I have posted this before, but it may still apply to your situation. You might also try doing a search for other previous discussions on propane and furnaces.
" We and some friends both had a problem like yours, when the regulator switched from the regulator-side tank to the far-side tank. There is an excess flow valve in the connector pigtails that can close if subjected to a sudden high flow such as might occur when you open the tank valve into an empty cross over pipe. If your regulator-side tank is empty, try switching tanks from side to side.
You can prevent this condition by opening the tank valves very slowly, or by installing a secondary regulator on the far side tank." This situation only affects the furnace, because its high demand for gas, your stove, water heater and fridge may still work.
(fridge? is that a Canadianism? means refrigerator in case you hadn't guessed }.
