2008 10th anniversery 3400RL
I have just recently looked at getting a new 2008 10th anniversery limited edition 3400RL. Went to Suncoast RV in Winter Park, Fl and they said the prices have gone up about $5000. His price with very few options was $63,135. Anyone know anything about these new units. Talked to a salesman at RV Connection in Panama City, Fl and he said company is selling limited edtions modles at no extra charge. Whats up. I have a beutiful 2003 3255RL and would like to trade it in. They want over 32,000 for trade. Any ideas.
Thanks

We've learned, from this forum, that Suncoast is a heavy dealer in that they like to stick to MSRP or very close to that. I'm quite sure that you can do better, elsewhere.

I would need to know what all the upgrades were in this 10th anniv. 3400. They better be good for that quote. Otherwise you are around $15K over what you should pull a 2008 3400 off of any lot (except west coast where transport costs raise the price...).
This is strictly MHO.

Bob,1st of all BIG WELCOME to the ever growing MOC Family.
I have dealt and for a very short time was an employee of Suncoast RV here in Pinellas Park and I do know how they operate.
If you can get the MSRP if would approach them with a price of 35% OFF of the MSRP and negotiate from there.
OR
Wait until the 2008 Florida RV SuperShow at the Fairgrounds in Tampa Jan 16th to the 20th. Suncoast is the Montana dealer at the show so you will still be dealing with them and will have no problem getting service in Winter Garden.
ALSO
On Friday afternoon of the show we will be having an MOC Mini-Rally at the Montana display. A great chance for you to meet face to face some of the MOC family members.

142oakmarr,
Some very good advice in the replies to your post concerning a potential purchase of a new Montana.
I offer only an opinion here...Florida (my state is noted for sunshine, and nice comfortable winters for our winter residents and locals too.
Florida is not cheap anymore, nor other places I'm sure. However, FLA was known for economic living, etc. If you look at the Floirda RV industry , Suncoast is a huge entity and get prices many are willing to pay. I learned from this forum there are my dealers outside Florida that beat our RV dealers hands down.
Aside, also, banks pay less savings interest in Florida on savings, etc. Why is that? There's alot of money in Florida and retirees are the key. Many of us want our money close and not in some bank far away or in a internet bank. My parents are still alive and believe me my Dad worries that his savings are in a bank out of state. I constantly reassure him. He doesn't own a Suncoast Montana though!
There are better deals out there on Montanas. Be patient, aware and do your homework. Good luck. Dennis

I have found that if you have a trade in you are going to pay the higher price. It would be best to sell your unit first, then go buy the new one out right. You wont get that 45-50,000.00 price with a trade in in my experience..

Don't tell them you have a trade in - get the price - then pop the trade in on them. Same as in the automobile sales areas.

Thanks to everyone that offered advise. We decided to wait until the Forida RV show in Jan. and look at what is available. The good thing is we have a very nice 2003 3255RL and don't really have to get another one. Am curious as to what the new 10th aniversery unit looks like anyway because the dealer say the frame was dropped under the storage area and it is a lot bigger. Also remote electric front jacks, rear stablizer jack, remote slides, remote scare lights, and more. Thanks again to all, hope to meet a lot of you at the show.

When we were at the Northeast Rally the factory rep's took a lot of pictures of the remote control system that I installed on our unit that does all of those functions and more. They wanted to put it on the BigSky. Maybe it will become a option for all units. I really enjoy mine.
