R Value Factor
Looking up on Keystones web site and noticed that Big Sky has a Roof R Value of R-14,Sidewall R-9,Floor R-21.
Montana has same values as Big Sky.
The Everest line has Roof R Value of R-14,Sidwall R-10,Floor R-30,I thought that the Big Sky was the top of the line for construction materials in their units. What am I missing here?

Hi. I'm no authority on Keystone products, by any stretch of the imagination. I was curious to know what was the significant difference between the Montana 5er and the Big Sky. I looked as closely as I could and discovered that, essentially, there is no essential difference, when considering how it may come standard. I believe, though, (I should check this before I say it, but I won't) that the Big Sky could come with an upgraded insulation package that was available for it, but not for the Montana. If you add the upgraded insulation package, it exceeds the r-factor of the Everest. Maybe that is the answer?

Everest is a different part of Keystone, a different company, different rig, ohhh, WHAT is the word I am looking for.
NOT a Montana
OHHH, different DIVISION of Keystone.
They set their own standards, design, etc.
At least that is the way I understand it.

Ok If the standard is R14, R9, and R21 what does the Arctic Insulation option add? According to the brochure it adds higher R values but how much?

Well, if you pull the belly, you'll see what that "Arctic Package" includes....one thin piece of silver thermal blanket. Seems like to me they could do better, insulation is a pretty cheap light-weight material, but expensive to install. JMHO

If you want good r values (floor most important for low temp as radiation from cold ground is culprit) check out Landmark. http://www.heartlandrvs.com/product....pe=Fifth+Wheel
