Come ON keystone!
I (my dealer) sent my new chair in to Keystone because the wood inside was cracked and splintered, they wanted to fix it themselves instead of getting me a new chair.
I drove the 25 miles to the dealership, picked up the crated chair they supposedly fixed.....not fixed. I sent (gave) pictures to the dealership showing the splintered wood.
Oh, I also was to pick up my screened escape window that we ordered, they sent the exact window I have now. We got the part number, had a picture of the screened escape window...they still sent the wrong window.
Idiots.

They replaced the bottom, maybe the internal metal works...kept my casters.

Sometimes you just can't understand their actions. I hope you call Customer Relations and let us know what they say.

Who ever built the chair can't even put the screws in straight. Before installing that big of screws they should have pre-drilled the hole as not to split the wood. Also they probably used wood from over the water. Not good wood.

I agree, Mickey. They missed the whole board with that back screw.

Well, in all fairness, that first pic looks like it got a little squirt of glue...
...and to think someone actually signed off on that job...

Ozz, you are beginning to understand why I went out and bought chairs that suited me. I wanted something lighter, more comfortable, and fit I guy my size. OEM chairs could never meet those criteria. When I traded for the new Big Sky, one of the first upgrades was to move the better chairs from the old unit to the new one.

My chair broke about 3 weeks ago. Turned it over and looked but nothing jumped out at me. Quick trip to Lazy Boy and a credit card took care of things.

LOL...we have a couple of Lazy Dudes too...had to have something to support my neck while relaxing. I think the 5'ers have better chairs these days but ours never made it a month from first use.
My criteria was - could I take a nap in it?
Never have yet, but one day maybe...weekends haven't been long enough.

You know Ozzie, I like the chairs, not as comfy as our reclining loveseat, but not bad for the quality. They just did a bad job assembling this one chair. Sue really likes them also. Stiles' chairs are very very nice, I can see why he went with them. I keep looking up at your bug while I type this...where is the Raid???
Take care, my friend.
Ozz

Lazy Boy makes quality furniture. I left the piece of junk that came with the trailer with the dealer and bought what suited me, a nice recliner and have not regretted it.

I have a HUGE leather recliner I'd like to take with me in the Monty, but I'm afraid it weighs so much I'd have to leave all my clothes behind - NOT a good solution - .

The OEM chairs are not the best...However..our single OEM chair, which is Helen's chair, I never use it, has lasted 16 months now with no signs of defect..Luck of the draw I guess..Of course Helen is a scrawny 125lbs or so..that MAY have something to do with it???

Ozz we read the complaints on the website about the bbrecliners then we tried them and decided to buy 2 Flexsteel European Recliners quite expensive but well worth the money. So with all the change you save it this should not be a problem.
