Slide Stops
I contacted Lippert regarding the infamous slide stopping in the middle of retracting. He sent me a pdf file diagraming how to install another 50A breaker parallel to the other. If anybody is interested just PM me and I will sent you the file.

Most people have gone to 80 amp or 2 40 amp breakers in parallel.

I had this problem also, started off stopping once or twice, wait 10-15 seconds and they will move again. Replaced the 50 amp breaker and have not had anymore prolems.
Lots of info on this subject on the site. I think the correct answer is that once the breaker trips for whatever reason it's going to get worse, tripping more often each time you put the slides in or out. It's my understanding the breaker weakons each time it trips, nolonger holds 50 amps before tripping.

I did the same as Cyrus - replaced the 50 amp breaker and it now works fine. I think the old breaker got weak. I would try that first since it is a lot easier and might solve your problem.

Got mine from local RV parts store. Just ask for "50A auto-reset breaker." Think I paid $4.89 for mine. It goes on the bulkhead behind the battery and has a red cover and the cable to the hydraulic pump motor.

I am surprised they would recommend putting 2 breakers in parallel. Breakers are normally sized according to the expected load and then the wiring is sized for the breaker. Two breakers in parallel could allow more current thru than the wire is sized for causing overheating of the wiring. A breaker should never be replaced by a higher amperage breaker unless it is verified that the wiring can safely handle it.

We were experiencing the same problem on our late 2006 3400RL. Had dealer change the slide auto-reset breaker and haven't had the problem since.

Lippert has been out to the campground during the rally and has inspected some units with breaker/fuse problems. It was discovered that the pumps are not properly grounded. If you look closely you will see that the ground wire goes down to a plastic tray. The only thing grounding the pump is the threads of the screw. As of yesterday Montana has started grounding in a different place.

As per 8.1's post...Lippert moved my ground to the metal lip at the edge of the tray and away from the plastic liner. In my case they moved the entire assembly to the left a few inches inches or you will need a longer ground wire.

I have two 50 amps in parallel connection. One breaker is auto reseting another is manual reset. I do not know why.
I have problem with buying either one, no auto part store has them , I have to try RV places.

correction! I have two auto reset breakers. Nobody in my area has them. I found web site and bought two vertical and two horizontal breakers.
Here is web site http://www.wiringproducts.com . I did relocate ground wire.
