Mor-Ryde Pin Box & RE Suspension System Installed
Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to say that I had the Mor-Ryde pin box, RE suspension system and a second low-profile 13,500 BTU Carrier AC installed today on my Monty. Right off the bat I felt the difference in towing with the Mor-Ryde equipment. This is going to be a fun summer!
Happy RVing!

Congratulations Lou! You'll love that suspension.
That AC must be low profile, can't even see it on your sig pic!

Brad,
Thanks for reminding me. On Friday I'm having some graphics put on my TV. I'll update my sig as soon as I can.
Lou

Lou: If you don't mind telling, why did you go RE and not the IS suspension?

Skypilot,
One of the reason's I went with the RE system was the cost plus I saw a lot of positive feedback on the RE system on another forum. The RE system combined with the pinbox will definitely improve my ride. Maybe the next rig I get I will go with the IS system. For now I'm more than happy with the RE system.

I have a 2001 2880RL Montana and would like to put a Mor-Ryde pin box on mine if it will fit one this old. If you don't mind saying, what is the price for just the pin box?

For those negotiating to buy a new rig, have the MorRyde pin box thrown in with the purchase. After all the dust was settled and the bottom line was arrived at I had them throw in the pin box at no extra charge. Back when I purchased my 04 2955RL I did the same thing on my PullRite SuperGlide. Even if they don't totally throw it in at least you'll get the best price and it will be financed with the rest of the rig.
The best time to pull this off is at the bigger RV shows where most all the accessory manufacturers have a booth. In both of the above instances, PullRite & MorRyde, I had their factory reps working with me and the RV dealer. This can work with all accessories such as MaxxAir, sun screens, window awnings, etc. You would be surprised at how much these manufacturers want to get their products on your rig. Granted it takes a lot of time, effort and negotiations but the end result is well worth it.
The worst they can say is no.

5rvers, hope this isn't too far off topic, but I am curious as the noise level of that 13.5K Carrier 2nd A/C? We had a DuoTherm Penguin put in as our 2nd A/C and the noise level - on any fan speed - is WAY too loud to even hear the TV (BR) over it. We are definitely going to switch this out with something else.

Dave: I'll 2nd that on the too loud Penguin. I turned ours on once this past summer -- and that was too much to handle!!! Guess the main one is loud too but much more room for the noise to dissipate than up front .

We have a low pro DuroTherm, not called a Penguin. It does make more noise that the main A/C. The living room A/C has a ducted system thru the attic and its ducted to the bedroom area also. We only use the bedroom area A/C when its above 90 degrees. An when we are in a RV park thats very noisy, you know lots of traffic, kids etc. It blanks out the noise and afternoon naps are good. But I also believe 2 A/C systems are needed. Good Luck....GBY...
Also I think you will love the Mor/Ryde systems, we have the Disk brake system also which is one of the best Mods we have added. And I think if you have the Big Sky it should be your next Mod...

The A/C noise is way off topic for this subject but a good topic for discussion. We may learn how others deal with the noise//Maybe open a topic on rear A/c's and move the A/C stuff over???

dsprik,
The noise level is not too bad compared with the main A/C.

YES IT IS!!! The guy you hang out with all the time...
Question: This Mor Ryde RE is what we CURRENTLY have as standard equipment since the first of 2006? Refresh my memory (I took the Mor Ryde tour last fall at the rally...) What is the difference between our RE system and the upgraded IS system?
