Glad to be here!
My wife and I purchased an '04 Montana 2980RL from and elderly couple that were no longer able to camp and we are excited about enjoying our new toy! Glad to be a part of this group and if I can help anyone with my knowledge of HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing or whatever else, I would be glad to! Look forward to getting tips and knowledge from the experts here as well! We are proud of our rig and will post some pics soon!

Welcome to the MOC! It's helpful to ask specific questions. We'll be happy to answer.

My first Montana was a 06 2980RL! Liked it pretty well. Bad was you needed binoculars to see the TV! LOL
My wife didn't like the kitchen area because if someone was in a recliner they had to put the legs down for someone to get to the frig!
We put in 7 years and 70,000 miles on it and made it to Alaska with it.
Have fun with yours.

Razorback, I forgot this before. I took out the tube TV and put in a flat screen. I can't quite remember but I think I mounted it such that the TV was outside cabinet so it would fit. It worked much better without the binoculars!

Welcome to the Montana family. We also have an older camper but love it. Plus it was about $80k cheaper than a new one. Since I still work full time and we just camp a few times a years a newer one doesn't make sense.

Congratulations on your Montana purchase. You will love it and will enjoy making memories. We have a 2013 in excellent condition and will probably be selling it early summer. We have absolutely enjoyed our travels with it but it is now time to make some changes.
