Howdy folks! Thought I would pop in and say hello from the cowboy state. Recently purchased a 2000 33ft'r. Just stepped outside but didn't see the model number decal.
I am not entirely new to the Montana experience and I stayed with a friend in his while we were working remotely. I realized in an instant that these campers are so much better than the competition.
We (me and girlfriend) had been scouring FB Marketplace for the right price, layout, etc. Found what we wanted. Knowing we were going to live in it, we really wanted W/D hook ups. Found this gem and snagged it for 9500.
We live in it full time and have it skirted and ready for winter. I can't believe it was -5 this morning! Way too early in the season for that!!

Good job finding a great trailer. I used to live in Gillette and spent many a day traveling to Buffalo for a fine meal at the Cattleguard Steakhouse. You truly have a great trailer, truck and state too.

Thanks! These trailers are so solid. I am grateful to have found this one in Casper. A few hiccups here and there, but I enjoy the challenge as much as the journey. That kitchen slide makes this thing bigger than some apartments I have lived in and its decor is so nice. I installed a small wood stove and it's so comfortable in here.
If you were going to the Cattleguard it must have not been too long ago that you were here. It was named Winchesters up until just recently.
What year model is the Chevy dually? Those are rare!

'75 I bought it in like 03-04 for a grand and it supposedly had a rebuilt 454 with this that and blah blah blah. I wanted it to be a tow rig for my Moab trips but the engine made some noise. So out it came and good thing too, way too high of valve spring pressures, cam was wiped, didn't have the heads they said it did, and on and on, so I went through it top to bottom. I worked at a CAT dealer at the time so I had the means to do basically all of it myself.
It looks great! I wouldn’t change a thing except maybe good front seats (if they were needed).

Lived there from 86-1993 and again in 1995-2001. I still visit there to see family and enjoyed a great steak at the Cattleguard in September when we crossed the mountains on 14A from Lovell to Buffalo. Ate there many times years ago but you are correct it was then called the Winchester Steakhouse and along with the Virginian downtown were both a fine place to get one of the best steaks in the Cowboy state. Plan on being there again this coming summer in June.

I first saw the Montana fifth wheel in the early summer of 1999 on a trip to Canada , and told my wife that’s going to be our first fifth wheel . I believe the 99 was the first year of production . Bought a used 2005 in 2006 , bought a new one in 2008 . Sold the 2008 , got another brand two years ago , my wife still hasn’t forgiven me . I regret getting a newer fifth wheel . Both the Montana fifth wheels were a more solid trailer than the one we have now .
Enjoy that Montana , don’t see a lot of them older ones around now days . A friend bought a pretty clean 2004 a couple years ago , and has towed it all over , even up to Alaska .
Mine is a 2002 3280RL. Purchased in 2016. We've done a bunch of upgrades, and alot of repairs, and now it's "rock solid." Still love the unit. It has the best layout for us, even when we compare to newer units. Enjoy!

We bought a 2006 a couple years ago and have really enjoyed it. Did a lot of upgrades, but i do think the older ones are better quality than the newer ones. Enjoy and welcome.

We bought a 2005 2955RL early this year that was in near mint condition and have no regrets. Have already done some upgrades and plan on more. So far 4 months into a 6 month trip around the US and in the 5k miles of towing it I find it very well built and rides very well.
Almost Looks like ours, a 2002 3280RL. Your front compartment is different than ours. Ours swings up while yours appears to swing sideways. We love ours, and have done several upgrades. I wish we had some of the newer features, but I think the older ones are built better, and don’t come with a ridiculous price tag!
Wyoming is my favorite place to camp, the Shirley Basin and Union Pass. I love the wide open space of the Shirley Basin and the high altitude and fishing on Union Pass.
Where in Wyoming do you live?

Might look rough I guess? I like it as is.
Thanks for asking!
Used to see a lot of those at the drag races many years ago, pulling 45 ft. enclosed car haulers.
Looks like a candidate for a diesel swap.
