I bought a trekwood version and either I ordered wrong or it is noticeably less quality as the original which wouldn't hold up to heavier use.

I resorted back to the original and modified it per a piece I read on here sometime last year.

The modification is solid and works like a dream.
Go but a tappered machine bolt I believe it was 5/16 x 18 x 2 or 1 3/4 inches long.
2 5/16 flat washers
5/16 nylon lock nut
5/16 jam nut. ( Jam nut is slimmer than a nut and perfectly slides into bathroom door bracket slot)

Remove old shaft and use the trolley base in your picture.

Clean threads in trolley up with tap
Insert tappered machine bolt from top of trolley down into hole and tighten. Reverse of the original way they did it.
Thread the lock nut on opposite way, add washer, another washer then the jam nut .
Leave plenty of room to slide the jam nut into mounting bracket on top of door.
Tighten lock nut and jam nut together.

The old way left the top always working the bolt out of the threads. This ways seems to alleviate that issue and my door has been smooth and functioning flawlessly. Just had my kids join me for a week (4 adults) nobody had any door issues.
Hopefully you can make out my picture.

I might have to do that. I always get stuck fixing it when the thread works its way out and it's just such a PITA. Also it's always my wife who somehow mysteriously says "Honey, I broke the bathroom door again"....

take the bolt to a hardward store and buy a thin nut to put on top. There is just engouh room. I then scored the nut so it wouldn't come off and have had no problem for 12 months.

That was the benefit of threading the bolt from top down instead of bottom up. The bolt head gives stability from rocking back and forth when pressure is applied while sliding door back and forth. The original way seems to put alot of leverage on the threads causing them to slowly back out or loosen stripping the threads. I suppose a nut on top could assist in helping out but over time it may still loosen up??? So far, the way I have it the lock nut and jam nut tightened together at the base have not allowed the bolt itself to turn or back off at all. My door slides open & closed smooth as butter and as of yet never loosened up...this is the best it has functioned ever. Time will be the true test but so far so good and people are not struggling with opening or closing the door as they have in the past....

The mod I did nearly two years ago is still holding up strong. Have not touched it since. The MorRyde part I received is still sitting in a drawer unused. I just keep it for insurance.
Several mods have showed up for this problem and they all seem to work. The key is to eliminate the threads in the roller, so the bolt pivots freely.

Just got done doing the repair above. Seems real solid. Time will tell, but it seems more solid than the original design. Thanks for the help!

Update

It's been nearly a year since my last update and the mod is still holding up.

Call Lippert they have a kit to replace the roller with a better unit. I changed mine a couple of years ago. Looks like the same roller used in the closet doors with a shim added.

ED, Interesting, Camping World just told us they do not have them. Did they special order the roller unit for you?
