Sure they are , but have you read what happens when caught ? But as said I can't ,and won't if I could . But as said we have emissions test here ,so it's a mute subject .

Texas has provisions for up to $25,000 fine for modifying the emissions system. Don’t know how much that is enforced though. I have no desire or intentions of modifying mine. Has all the power that is needed to adequately pull a 5er. I am not out there to race anyone up a pass.

No idea what the fine will cost you here in Utah ,but hope it's severe for the ones that want to roll the coal, those days need to be behind us. As you say these trucks get it done nicely without messing with them . Not sure why certain members even brought it up, the subject was availability of Rotella .
It sure seems like Rotella is around in certain parts of the country ,but not here in Utah, nor able to order it like some have Walmart . Lets me add it to the cart as said ,but then on check out ,not available .

Yes, I did notice people buying 3 or 4 containers of DEF, yesterday. Must have been on the Montana form. The oil is not an issue, DEF is an issue. No DEF most RVer's will be setting. I have never bought more than 2.5 gals each time. When the DEF first came out we were in Colorado, couldn't fine the DEF, finally went to dealership, very expensive, but, the choices were not there. DEF does have a shelf life. Don't do like people do about toilet paper, chance of snow, go buy toilet paper and milk. I just don't understand the greed. Greed is wrong! When fossil fuel is gone, there will be no RVer's like today.
Happy trails.

People are just plain crazy.
GM wants to build some Mines to mine minerals for use in the Batteries of EVs that everyone says they want, BUT people are trying to stop the Mines. A case of "I want it, but not in my back yard, put in someone else's"

The oil is still an issue in Kansas City. Just checked 3 Walmarts and one Auto Zone on line. Still not available. Same as it was a few weeks ago.

I agree, I sure question anyone being able to order Rotella T6, certainly not on Walmart online when I've went in ,and tried . But as said it must be a local thing, because some say they have ordered online, so not nation wide I guess .
I need some DEF, I will take a look at a couple places today, hopefully I can find a jug. One will get me thru the winter .

Haven’t seen any rotella in months here, and then last week I saw some T1 30 wt. I grabbed 2 gallons as that is the oil that’s called for in my boat transmissions. Still have my eye out for 15-40 for the engines. I run the Motorcraft 10-30 in the truck, and I had a hard time finding it last time I changed the oil. It was up to 29.99 for a 5 qt jug at Wallyworld so it cost nearly $90 for the oil and filter. The Ford dealer charges $120 to change the oil, might just go that route next time. No dirty hands and recycling issues and they are a Ford commercial only service center, I trust them.

Same here in western NC. Had to go to three places to get three gallons. I've been keeping track and it seems there is zero in our area now (T6 5W-40). Walmart is definitely out.

I almost had to by Valvoline Premium Blue this time, but I managed to find T6 at autozone. I change oil twice a year so I’ll just start early on purchasing T6 for my next change.

Let me say, some types of oil my be an issue, as a whole there is plenty of Oil. I'm only saying DEF will should down the diesel engines. If there becomes a shortage. Maybe soon what ever brand of Oil you prefer will be available. Good Luck.
Happy trails.

We have a natural gas pipeline going through 3 miles from our home. It started out at 3.5 billion. It’s now at over 6 billion and three years late. Why? Law suits. You have never heard of all the problems it will cause. We have a gas line 300 yards from our home. It’s been there for over 50 years, no problem yet.
In the next country from us a firm wonts to install 16 windmills. They will be 650 feet tall. Everybody wonts green energy but not on my mountain. I’m sorry but you can’t have it both ways, pick one.

I wonder if anyone has done a study of the environmental impact of all those heavy duty “one use only” DEF containers that are littering the landscape (just look at any truck brake-check area) and filling up the landfills.

Walmart in Las Vegas just got a shipment of DEF. Their house brand is now 13 bucks for 2-1/2 gallons, and the BlueDef brand is a whopping $20. So just like other things in this economy, the shortages only last long enough to Jack up the prices and then, lo and behold, the supply comes back.

Local Walmart here had a lot of Blue DEF on the shelf today plus some Blue DEF Platinum. No Supertech. Didn’t check prices.

Two days ago walmart in Taylor TX (east of Austin) had a pallet of their brand DEF for $9.99 per 2 gal jug. It was $6.93 earlier in the summer, $7.93 was the normal price.

The Blue DEF I bought the other day at Walmart was like 14.97 , didn't pay any attention to the house brand. I am wondering if that $20 you quoted is for that Platinum Blue DEF ??
Thats the first time I have paid over $12 for a jug of the Peak Blue DEF .
