Have you re-wired / redone circuits

We have a 2018 3701LK the Kitchen outlets ( all 3 are the pop up style) , outlet for dining slide, bathroom, outside outlet, and outlet underneath are ALL on the same circuit breaker. And, they all route through the bathroom outlet (This is the only GFIC) for the unit. Why in gods name the most used outlets in the unit are all on (1) circuit, I will never know.. Cheaper maybe ??

Anyway, anyone on this forum ever attempt re- wiring ?? Suggestions or ideas welcome.

Thanks.

Sadly most all RV's receptacles are chained to one breaker going thru say the bathroom GFCI. Then, there's maybe one extra empty slot in your breaker panel. It's going to be pretty tuff to route anything thru the walls or ceiling for any distance. What we did to enable 2 ceramic heaters going at the same time and still run say the TV and ice maker is tap off the fireplace circuit and add a receptacle somewhere near the entertainment center for the second electric heater.

Thank you. I’m considering using the clothes washer circuit for outside, and under tub and possibly bathroom if I can access. We don’t use nor plan to use the washer/ dryer.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Glad to know I’m not the only (1) is dealing with this , but saddened the builders did this to all of us. They don’t care.

I have not. But assuming you have a spare breaker slot you have (at least) two challenges.

First you need to find out the sequence those existing outlets are wired. Clearly it would first go from the breaker to the GFCI outlet. But from there it would be anyone’s guess. Hopefully a simple point to point daisy chain. Although it is possible someone wired something crazy if it was easier at the time. But it is something you would need to sketch out to determine the best place to break that chain. Ideally the kitchen/dining area would be the end of the chain and easy to separate.

Next would be finding the best outlet at which to disconnect the wire to break the chain. The wire disconnected from that outlet would also need to be disconnected from the outlet from which it comes. That outlet at the break would need to be replaced with a new GFCI outlet. Then it would be a matter of getting a new wire from that new GFCI outlet back to the new circuit breaker.

If you can locate that disconnected wire under the floor you could use it to pull a new wire from the new GFCI outlet down to under the floor. Then run that wire under the floor to the vicinity of the circuit breaker panel and search for a way to get up thru the floor to the new breaker. If running a new wire to the new GFCI looks problematic, and if you have located the old wire under the floor, you could install a junction box under the floor with a 3 pole terminal block to connect the old wire, and run a new wire from that J box to the new breaker. I would use a terminal block rather than wire nuts, but that is just me.

Ours is wired differently TG. 2019 3130re. Popped a breaker this morning labeled Kit 2.
Found out it goes to the coffee bar, TV, entire right slide, right back wall and cooktop pop ups.
Based on your description, I would guess it goes from the breaker to the bathroom GFIC then to a junction box where it splits out to the different receptacles.
I know in mine there is a "power sharing switch" (look it up) under the stairs, behind the right basement wall. I will need to put a toner (IT people use these to trace network wiring. Also called a dog & bone) on it and trace to which sockets it goes to.
If you have something similar, this would be a good place to separate the circuits. BUT, you would then need to run a separate line to your panel and install another breaker for it.

Possibly clearing up some confusion as to my previous reply about tapping in to the fireplace circuit so I can run a second electric heater ... The infrared tower heater we use does a much better job of putting out heat than our fireplace. Trying to run two 1500 watt heaters (@12 amp ea) on the remaining chain of outlets doesn't work for long. My disclaimer is, my other half feels anything below 72 degrees is "frigid".

Also regarding the pop up tower outlets, be very careful what you plug into these. They are very cheap power strips that are plugged into an outlet under the cabinets. Heaters and kitchen appliances that pull a lot of juice will melt these pretty easily and could cause a fire very quickly. One of mine melted with a small air fryer plugged into it.

On my 2019, there were two regular kitchen circuits and a third was on the inverter circuit. That circuit served the pop-up next to the refer, the refer itself and one plug in the bedroom. The only receptacles on the bathroom GFI are the sink island and the exterior receptacle. The dining room slide and other outlets on the kitchen counters are not GFI protected like required for home construction. Most of the pop-ups I researched on Amazon are rated for 10-12A.

I want to say without looking that the receptacles in our unit are on at least 5 different breakers. Just another thing they do to cheapen them up to keep the $$ low to entice buyers. They know that people do not have the knowledge or time to look under the skin and beyond all the glitz and glamour to see there faults.
