New Floorplan / All One Level FW
I’m always looking for new floorplans and ideas. This one is the first of its kind. All one level and all pass thru storage. It is almost perfect. BUT, the steps look a little confining. The outside storage is incredible. I applaud them for the design. Maybe Montana can take it and improve it

Would need to put that on an old Mountain Aire frame with Dual Wheels on Tandem Axles. Then it would be much more top heavy than a MH.

The high interior ceilings is what gives a 5th wheel the more roomy/luxury feel. This is like a travel trailer on top of a storage area.
There is probably a market for this design though and definitely different.

That is definitely something different. I do like it. I've always though there is so much wasted space in a fifth wheel, why couldn't the bottom be used for storage across the entire trailer.
The concept of the loft in a fifth wheel is also a space user idea too. That's been utilized in toy haulers, and sometimes like the Montana 376FL and 377FL. But this one, definitely tops them all for space utilization.
I did notice that the bathroom and bedroom is all one slide. When retracted, it looks like the toilet would be extremely cramped, maybe not even usable.
However, this is a GREAT idea. I really like it. But that specific floor plan does not work for me.
I do enjoying messing around with images of floor plans, showing the difference between slides in and slides out. Is the toilet and kitchen usable with slides in, especially when traveling on the road and not set up?
We each use them different, but not for me on this one. I'm on the road too much. EVERY RV has it's advantages and disadvantages, trade-off's, and compromises.... always:
Slides out - Slides in - Floor plan, you decide.

I like the added storage but I really like the high ceilings in my 2020 3781. I have so much cabinet space that the outside storage just isn't worth giving up that feeling of height that comes with it. Thanks for the share, love to see the new floor plans coming out!!!

Post 5 pretty much hit the nail on the head for us. We wanted, and like, the high ceilings in a 5th wheel for extended stays. Had travel trailers for years and we opted for a 5th wheel because of the "tunnel" feel you develop in a travel trailer after awhile.
For us I don't see how we would ever put almost 4k of "stuff" in the pass thrus...and we carry a lot. It is a good concept but I'm thinking TOO much storage underneath. I think I recall seeing a Montana model with an elevated rear living area that provided tons of storage under it which might be an acceptable compromise for some. At least it looks like they are thinking a little bit "out of the box".

It's unique and clever. Seems basically like a nice motor home without the motor. It's also a beast at about 18k GVW so a pretty robust TV is needed. The added storage is nice...I guess it's partly about how much stuff you actually need/want to carry (plus it's added weight). But I prefer the high ceiling in my 5er.

On the floorplan itself... It is certainly creative, but not really new if I recall correctly the "all on one floor" plan was made by somebody pre 2008 recession before they went out of business. SO maybe new again? I like the A/C below deck and cavernous storage. Wide open roof lends itself to solar. I'd be in favor of less CCC and more frame integrity surrounding the lower storage areas as this, to me, seems vulnerable to vibration fatigue overtime. I agree the entry area needs work. as some older people may find it more "sketchy" to navigate. We love our 3813MS but if we were in the market this has possibilities.

That Columbus is gorgeous. I love the one level with all the storage. It really looks nicely finished inside/out, and in the storage area. I love that they put a back up system if the touch screen were to go down. Two fire places, a descent factory sound system by JBL, and an air ride pin box. Montana take notes.

I like the term death steps. I call it the pit. 50" TV and no drawers for clothes kind of lost me there..
Not sure how top heavy it would be. Take 3790/1 2/3s are up at that level.
Now a retractable floor of the pit may be a good idea and add a dresser and they may have some interest

I am somewhat impressed with it. Way more storage than most other units and even more than the few units with raised rear bedrooms/living room. I agree with the concept of the floating floor someone mentioned and if I was seriously interested I would have to really check out the inside storage for clothing and other odds and ends. Big pantry and lots of counter space. I would have liked to see more information on the HVAC. This concept does remove some of the higher ceilings aspect but most units already have either a low bedroom ceiling or both BR and LV ceilings. Back to basics is load range G tires and a hefty 18,000 GVW. I could not tell the size of the rams on the six way level system. Okay here’s where most people are not going to want to talk about, the required tow vehicle for this unit. Last but not least I did not catch the width but I really like the wide body units and as mentioned before some of the storage access seemed like it could use more structural bracing.

Besides all the other comments about various things with this rig, when the guy opened the door to the pantry, my first impression was, can't tow it with anything on those shelves. You would have to unload everything into boxes or crates, because no matter how good a suspension you have, it would all end up on the floor. The ceiling height was the other thing that struck me as a problem. Son sold his TT a short time ago, less that two years old, because at 6'5" tall, he was hitting his head on things on the ceiling, and he said his next RV would be a 5th wheel, because he likes the headroom in our rig. Yes, it's a unique design, but just like any RV, each floorplan only fits a small segment of buyers.

OK Let me remind everyone that I came up with this concept first and have posted here before!!
I suggested that raising the floor of the kitchen area on the HC380/381TH would allow for the garage to be extended all the way to the hitch cutout. It would allow for much longer toys to be put in its basement garage.
Just remember you heard it here first AND many folks (including Keystone) said it could not be done!!!!! Of course I got the same thing when I suggested the original basement garage concept until Grand Design actually made it!!!

I can't see the concept for the usual weekender or vacationer though for a full timer or prject work where folks have to live at a site - yes.
That entry would frighten my wife and the starkness/lack warmth feel would turn us both off
We looked at several 2015 Columbus 5ers when we were looking for our current 5er. The salesman showed me several real shortcomings though his boss tried to strong arm us to buy. Not well made. So, did Forest River up their quality? Beats me!.
