Water Heater
Thanks for all the help our shake down trip is going great. Question our water heater is propane and electric. When we got to campground and made water connections I switched on electric. That was slow to heat then switched to propane. Heated up quickly. After it heated with propane I switched back to electric. Next morning water had cooled off??
Do most folks leave it on propane???

Have you turned on the electric switch on the WH itself under the outside cover? It must be on to heat with electricity. No need to leave on LP if hooked to electricity. We full timed 9+ years and RARELY used LP.

Just make sure the water heater is full of water before you turn it on, or you’ll be replacing the heating element.

we have always used propane, with DW and (2) DD's all with long hair, the WH does not regenerate fast enough during showers on electric.

Absolutely agree. We turn on both electric & propane at shower time for quick regeneration. Always have.
