They want to sell me Greenball Towmaster ASC. Any experience?

Hi, I'm very due for tires on my 2015 3610RL. The Goodyear G614 RST 235/85 R16 have been great , but I'm past due.
The local trailer specialist tire people are offering me Greenball Towmaster ASC All-Steel tires to replace them.
Anyone have experience with these? I know the Sailun's are the tire of choice here, but I have limited places near where I am to get them.
Your experience would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Mick

Order Sailuns from Simple Tire. They will ship to any shop for mounting. Make arrangements with shop first so they know they are coming....in about 2-3 days. Tire if choice here. I have the same unit as you and also replaced GY G614. More info coming from others here.

Sailuns or G614. If you buy them from Goodyear use will pay much more. Last time I both the G614 I paid 201.50. I purchased them for a local dealer. Goodyear wanted 338.10.

Thanks everyone. I ordered the Sailun tires from Simple Tires. I've talked to a local mobile tire installer to come to me. I've got bearings and brakes being done in a few days too. All of this and the new set of shoes (all 5), will lead to confidence as I drive from Phoenix to Dallas.

Good move. There is no need to gamble an $80,000 on a set of tires. We will let someone else do that. Those other tires might or probably will be fine but you know the Sailums are.

Thanks

I guess I'll need to split the difference with you. The Sailuns and the mobile tire service is saving me $160.

I sure hope these tires (Sailun) continue to live up to all of our expectations and recommendations because if they don't.....we got a lot of crow to eat!!!

Does the mobile service guy balance tires too?

Bought mine at Walmart, $146.37 a tire. Free mounting but did have to pay extra for balancing and road hazard.

If you would let us know the DOT on them, I didn't have much luck getting a very new tire from SimpleTire, they were close to 8 months old, that was over a month ago now. Pretty sure those tires from Amazon on coming from SimpleTire. I sent them back, and ordered from Walmart, and they were cheaper .

Same as my above post, would let us know what the DOT is on them, as said did not have good luck with SimpleTire. The ones from Walmart were newer tires by about 11-12 weeks , thats close to 4 months difference.

IMO ,I don't want a fifth wheel tire older then 6 months. The countdown on trailer tires start from the day they are manufactured, and considering we seldom wear them out, they do age out. 5-6 years is about it. So I want as new as possible.

I had tires from Greenball on a Wildcat some years ago. Had tires on both sides BLOW UP and take out the side panels.
I have had G614s on both my last Monty and my current on. Hard to beat.

I received the 5 SAILUN tires from simpletire.
The manufacturer dates on four of them is 0720 and one is 0420.
I'm ok with those dates. With the way things are, I think it would be a challenge to get anything newer from China.

Thanks. I wished that SimpleTire would of sent me that fresh of tire, mine were 3019, but more or less was kind of glad, I saved quite a bit ,caught them a lot cheaper from Walmart .

I would say what 4 months old or so, I would think thats about as good as anyone could do .

Sailun was the first to introduce the 16" all steel tires. Because many consumers were using them as replacements for their OEM tires and normally 2-3 load ranges above their OEM tires the Sailun tires got numerous accolades.

IMO all of the 16" steel cased tires are a step above the polyester tires and make great replacements when properly matched to the vehicle's OEM tire designations. Just about all of the ST tire manufacturers are now building them and the closer to home you find them the easier the transition.
