Sailun vs Kenda
I'm looking to upgrade to a G rated tire. I have read countless posts on the benefits of the higher rating and I am definitely doing it. With that, has anybody had any experience with the Kenda brand tire? My local dealer can not even get the Sailuns, but I can order them from Amazon. I would rather get local, but all they have is Kenda. Anybody? Thanks!

Simple tire will deliver quickly. Just did it. Them take it to an installer of your choice. In my case that is me. I'll take two wheels off at a time and take them to the shop for mount and balance. I can't stand to watch what people do with impact wrenches.
Make sure the wheels are good for the 110lb pressure.

Lots of good experience and time on the road with Sailuns. For me, I'll stick with a known.

Hmm.. Kenda is new to me too..I think I would still stick with my Sailuns, but Sailuns had to start somewhere in this market too. It will be interesting to see how this new tire works out for folks. Good luck.

If your mind is firmly made-up to go to a steel cased tire you really don't have to go the super "over kill" 16" LRG.
There are at least a half dozen ST tire manufacturers now building the ST225/75R15 in the steel cased design with a LRF.

The Kenda brand names are Karrer and Load Star. They've been around for quite some time but still do'nt build a steel cased ST tire.

I wouldn’t gamble a $60000 camper on a $200 tire when I had a proven tire.

Sailun has the best reputation of all trailer tires and cost less than most. Would you buy a steak priced lower than an unknown slab of meat?
I’d get them ordered real soon

Triangle is now also producing a G rated steel case tire.
Just got a set for my gooseneck equipment trailer.
They were very round and balanced easily with little weight.
They are available in 235 80 and 85 16, price is competitive with Sailun.

I just bought Sailun tires at NTB. They ordered them yesterday and called me today very early afternoon.

Kenda's been around forever as far as I know, but I've never had any. Sailun has such a good reputation I'd take it over any lesser-known tire. I got mine from simpletire.com. They even suggested a local tire shop and drop-shipped the tires there.

The Load Stars on my previous camper were horrible. Love the Sailuns on the new one.

Kenda has made some real junk tires in the past. If people got burned once why go back? Sailuns are worth tracking down. Almost zero complaints on the net.
