Ryobi buffer
Anybody using the cordless 10” Ryobi polisher, buffer? I bought the buffer and 2 batteries with charger for $140. I’m a Milwaukee guy, but $217 for tool only was a little steep. Just wondering if somebody on here has used it and how long it lasted.. I plan on using it to remove oxidation and wax it. Hopefully in the future just to keep it waxed.. I did the front and rear caps, by hand, and these old shoulders can’t take anymore! Thanx

I too am very fond of my Milwaukee tools, but also have several Ryobi tools, a thickness planer I have had for quite a few years, a couple other tools, including a 10" sliding miter saw just purchased a couple days ago for a project we have going on at Becky's Dad's property. They are quality tools, and should give you a long service life.

When a tool is required, I kinda evaluate by planned usage. Occasional use, maybe non-Milwaukee is ok. Batteries are nice but sometimes corded is so much less. So sometimes I but a Discount House tool and it lasts three times, it ok to throw away …

I wrecked my right shoulder in 2007 waxing my Monty. Now only use someone else to do that stuff even though I still think MAYBE I could--but then look at my golf clubs and the idea fades!

I have a plethora of Ryobi 18 volt tools and carry quite a few with me when camping. It's surprising how often I need them for me or to help someone else.
I'm a big fan of Ryobi and all my tools have worked great. I wouldn't hesitate to get the buffer. If you were a full time detailer using the thing all day every day then it might not be the right choice. Otherwise have at it.

Let us know how it works. Except for cordless drill, I'm not been a big fan of battery operated tools yet with a few giving up battery life in mid job.
The 2-3 Ryobi corded tools that I have work well though do prefer Bosch as they seem to run nice and smooth, especially compared to the new DeWalt cordless drill I recently bought. Milwaukee tools have always been out of my price range

I only have a cordless drill but all my other tools have a cord. Nothing like having to stop and change a battery. i do however have a couple drills with cords. Depending on the job determine which tool to grab.I use my buffer all the time on my cars so I have this one.
I didn't pay $4 hundo for mine
