Norcold fridge
Hi, I haven't posted a problem for awhile, but I have something for you guys today. Maybe you can help (again). My Norcold 1210 shut off and is giving me a fault code that reads "LI-oP". The owners manual says "the high temperature limit switch is open". Not owner serviceable. The fridge is cool and the stuff in the freezer is frozen. I haven't tried propane yet. Anyone else go through this? Any solutions I can try before making the call? Thanks for any suggestions.

There is a reset procedure which may work. In the back of the refer (outside) you can see a black box which will have a blinking red LED. Using a strong magnet, hold it to the box near the light and it should turn the light off. Google "L1OP" for much more information on the cause and how to correct it.

You nailed it Carl. Again. Fridge is running for about half hour now. Hopefully, whatever tripped it in the first place will not happen again. A couple of things: the LED was a solid light in this case and my magnet wasn't strong enough to get through the cover, so I took it off and held the magnet close (but not touching) the pc board in the general area you described. Took less than 5 seconds and I heard a click. Light went out and the fridge is running. I was going to google the code like you suggested, but decided to try this forum first. Glad I did! Thanks again!

Wind and rain can be a cause.

Having the same issue with wind/rain tripping refrigerator off. Found magnet re-set solution on YouTube. Does anyone have solution for preventing rain from entering vent? Awning or side walls maybe. We stay stationary all summer but it's often windy on this lake.

I had this problem a few years ago but the magnet trick wouldn,t work so I bought a new part(150.00) at the RV dealer in Quartzite Az. I believe it was caused by my washing the vents with a spray end on a hose. Be careful not to get water in there when giving Monty a bath.
