We are in the Rippling River Campground in Marquette, MI. Still a little chilly with a little snow showing on the ski hill but we have a family event to attend so all is well. As we travelled up from Texas over the last 45 days we hit rain most of the way, most of the time. I am really getting tired of mud.

Where are you in Texas? We are currently in Livingston and no flooding here.

Stuck at the S&B in South Georgia where we're baking in the upper 90's for the next several days! Our trip north has been delayed due to a DW health issue. She'll be fine, but we're both counting the days until departure! For now the Monty sits out back waiting to go!!

Memorial weekend
At home fixing parts of our wood fence. Me and post hole diggers don’t get along very well.

Camper is at the Lake Champlain CG - we aren't. We came down with the head colds of the year and decided that 'suffering' at home was better. Going there either tomorrow or Tuesday for several days - that is if the continual rain isn't too bad.

I also have a PHD for farming a Post Hole Digger. I don’t like mine much either. The one that fits on my tractor ain’t bad.

I visited a friend grave today, Roger Dale Adkinson. I didn’t get to go to his funeral. I was in basic training over 50 years ago. He died in Vietnam. I didn’t know where he was buried until a few years ago when I attended a Funeral and looked down in the cemetery and Roger’s picture was looking back at me. Quite a moment!
I wonder what I could tell Roger if he could ask me why he lost his life in Vietnam????
You can find him on the Vietnam Memorial web site and The Wall.

Lost friends and class mates like you, lost track of so many. Midwest lost our factory jobs and I had to make a living. Texas has been good to us but I often think of those we lost. Had our 50th class reunion last year pretty anti climatic in the scope of the last 50 years. One that I will find on the wall someday Terry Gunther was lost in his last week of deployment. Terry was looking forward to his ZL1 Fred Gibb camero . May we never forget those that insured our freedom to travel our great country by there greatest sacrifice, Thanks veterans of all generations.
