Las Vegas
Could anyone recommend a place to stay around the first week in March. We have stayed at Sam's Town and it is OK, but are looking for something closer to the strip for a few days.

Circus Circus still has an Rv park, right on the strip. We've never stayed there. The Silverton has a nice RV park which we've enjoyed several times. The Silverton is located at the I-15 and Blue Diamond road, much closer than Sam's Town to the Strip. They have a free shuttle to the strip several times daily. Do a goggle search and you can make reservations right on their website, don't forget to show your Good Sam card at check-in.

Rex & Mary - The Silverton was permanently shut down on Dec. 15 according to another review site I checked. Any other suggestions?

Jim & Dagmar,
I hope your not coming up to the northwest anytime soon. It is still pretty cold up this way, the hills around Spokane and the nothern panhandle of Idaho are to get 12-15" of snow tomorrow afternoon and throughout the nite. Stay south! Enjoy your warm weather. =)

We stayed at the Oasis RV Resort last October. It is right near the Silverton. Beautiful Park and they have a shuttle to the strip also. It is expensive though.

I am so sorry to have given you bad information on the Silverton RV Park. Making reservations there, is on my list of things to do this week. I'll be following this thread to get an alternate park as well.

We stayed at the Oasis RV resort and really liked it. It is very close to the strip and easy to get to.

Mike and Amy - Nascar Las Vegas is the following week with the race on Mar.12 so I think we can get into Vegas. Montana Sky- we have been down south for four months and we have to get back home and get our income tax done. We also have to renew our medical coverage if we stay down here any longer as well. We will keep our eye on the weather and if it looks ugly, we will head west and come up I-5 but we enjoy Las Vegas for a few days if the weather is nice. Thanks for your concerrn.
