2019 3731 dining table
The very small "dining" table in my 3731 is pretty much useless due to very little room between the table and the slide-out wall to put a chair and get in/out (plus the chairs are miserable to sit on) but without it, other is no other place to sit down at a table.
Any suggestions from other owners that have a similar arrangement?

Rarely use the table. We eat outside or on the couch or reclining chairs.

I can't speak about your's because there is no 3731 on Montana's web site that I could find. Our 2018.5 3791RD has adequate space for me and I am 260 lbs and only 5'10". We are full timers and use ours daily and never do the TV tray thing.

A 3731 is a 3730 with the residential refrigerator. I still have to work and need a place to set up my "stuff". Unfortunately when shopping/buying, I failed to pay much attention to the table and didn't try actually sitting at it. Keystone gives you 4 chairs but maybe a couple of kids using 2 chairs might fit.
I am not trying to disparage Keystone. I just need a workable desk area that I didn't think about in advance and bet someone in the forum has a great idea on how or what to convert.

A suggestion I saw that someone did was to remove the table.
They bought a different table and sit facing the big window.
We are considering this, I agree it’s a tight fit.

I am thinking along the lines you are. I need to measure if there would be more room facing out than sideways, and if so, I am going to try that. All I want is a reasonably comfortable space for 2 adults to access/sit/use. My neighbor is a custom furniture maker, so may ask him to come up with something if the idea looks feasible. Thanks for you idea.

Several folks have replaced the table with a desk against the outside wall.
I think consulting your neighbor is a good idea....

Another good idea. I plan to take out the table this weekend and get started on fitting in something new. After 8 months of frustration and dealer repairs, am finally starting to appreciate this unit and looking forward to moving it to my lake lot, continuing upgrades and forgetting about what Keystone could have/should have done.

I have the same rig. Same complaint. Just yesterday I thought, "I should take this stupid table out and create a wire mesh floor to ceiling pantry for lightweight goods." I very well might do it!

We first put our table on a swivel and removed two chairs as 99% of the time it is just two of us. Two years latter I had a a cabinet company make me a wood top to fill in the dead areas from the factory table rounded edges. I did add two additional legs in the back for support.
We are more then pleased with the new look, the function and enjoy sitting looking out our window while eating a meal.

I have a 2019 3730FL and I agree the seating is not adequate for 4 at the dining room table. My wife and I sit opposing each other and that's about all you could reasonably fit in that small area. The window coverings limit the seating area as well. Fortunately like another said, we eat most of our meals outside.

We have the 3791RD, but I believe the tables are the same. The table pulls out and extends from wall the width of the ledge, and then can extend again about 6 inches or so if you lift up the end and pull out the piece at end. With all that the table is pretty good size..our issue is we are too fat to comfortably fit sitting at the table without constantly hitting the hard window trim. Hubby gets his chair caught inside them (between window and trim piece) My solution is to take out those (leaving the valances)..but replace with regular curtains.

I have the 2018 3731FL and I am sitting at the table right now and I have about 8" between my belly and the edge of the table and I'm no skinny minny (210). We store the two folding chairs under the bed and only use them occationally if we have someone for dinner. I flattened the lower window trim against the wall which helped with the space a bit. As I sit here looking though I can see there should be ample space to remove the table and install a counter along the window and there should be plenty of space for two chairs and you would have a nice view looking out the window.
