Just discovered the hard way that the batteries do drain down even with the factory cutoff switch so I just put wing nuts on my battery terminals and disconnect the battery when in storage (always did this on previous units without cutoff switches. Know I wonder if the level up system maintains its 0 degree calibration or does it need recalibrated every time the battery is reconnected. Haven't tested yet as my battery is currently being bench charged in my garage.

My 2010 has the red cut-off switch, but I still ended up with dead batteries so I to disconnect the wing nut and remove the red lead.

I hook up a 25W Solar panel through a 12VDC voltage regulator (found on Ebay for $10 and the solar panel was a bout $65) This seems to a great job of overcoming the voltage vampires. When I check the voltage first thing in the morning its down between 11 and 11.5 VDC. At the end of the day it typically up to about 12 to 12.8VDC.

I am going into winter and unplugging everything for my 2018 3820fk. Should I disconnect the batteries or should I leave it plugged into 50 amp service?? It will sit for about 6 months.

My batteries are now just shy of 9 years old, the fifth wheel is plugged in 24/7. IMO its the best way to maintain your batteries, although you need to keep an eye on the water level. No matter what you do , over time they will lose power unless plugged in .
