August 2018 Legacy Edition Package additions
I have been investigating the purchase of a Montana 3810 MS. During that investigation, I found that the Legacy package has added some items.
One Keystone rep and 2 dealers have confirmed that Disc Brakes will be part of the Legacy package starting in August 2018.
NEW! Legacy Edition Package
Disc Brakes
Generator Prep
Surge Protector
Furrion S-Vision Cameras (side view and rear View)
iN-Command with HVAC Control
Hardwood Cabinet Framing (Stiles)
Electric Power Cord Reel (N/A 3130RE)
Rear Fiberglass Cap (N/A 3700,3701,3790,3791)
I also found that a Solar option is available, which may not be news to the Montana forum.
265 Watt panel w/ 2000 watt inverter.
$2250.00

For us that would be a welcome addition as we are on the road a lot. Disc brake add on is on our to do list.

This wouldn't do it for us. We want IS and disk brakes which we will add after the Rally and we dont want the In Command with no manual switches.

Since I am a newbie, can you add why you dont want the In command?

We do agree with DQ Dick. The IS and the disc brakes is a must have for those of us that are on the road a lot and thje package should be a option for those of us who will pay the price for safety and comfort.

first we full time and travel a lot of miles over some very rough roads. I worry about controls supplied by the low bidder with no option for a manual override. My wife also hates issues with phones and tablets when you have to know how to make it work instead of just getting up and flipping a switch. Last there have also been some posts on here about folks wondering if the reason slides were stopping etc. was because they weren't pushing the button on their device correctly. We just decided we didn't want to pay more for something that could give us more stress, not less.

Silverado. trailers with disc brakes, like it appears they are making standard on that model, are fine brakes. A big step up from regular brakes.
As for the IS system which is a great system will cost you upwheres of $5-7K if you upgrade to the system.
So, if money is not a big deal get the upgrade.

The Mor Ryde IS system does not cost 5 to 7K more like 2500.00

I was in contact with Rob Kolean from Mor Ryde on 7/16 and quoted $6100 for 7k axles $6800 for 8K axles (recommended for Montanans ) IS & disc brakes
We’re traveling near Elkhart and hopped they could fit us in but Rob said already booked into November
Planning on a spring trip to get done.

Rich, I paid $4800 for my IS and disc brakes 10 years ago from MORryde. I just imagine what that costs now. Phil

I concur with MidMOTraveler about the quote. That's about what we paid and we went with the 8K rated IS and Kodiak disc brakes. MorRyde had been offering incentive discounts for installation occurring between Nov-Mar. Since we winter in the south, it was a matter of getting it done as we traveled. It's a big job, but the MorRyde staff seemed very capable

Does MorRyde have any other locations that can install?

We traded our 2017 3710 Legasey with In Command for a 2018 3791 with out Legasey and dont regret it at all. The in command system would keep cutting out when putting in or out the slides. I also rather have wall switches for our lights. I definitly do not want my AC controlled by anything but the wall thermostat.

I’m all about technology and think the InCommand is great however, I did add switch for the hydraulic slides that can bypass the system if needed. Since they did away with the Bluetooth connection between the command center and the BCM in the basement The system is much better. Disc brakes are a must and should have been required by law years ago on RV’s over a certain weight and length.
