No, I had not greased them. The rig is just a year old and has about 8k miles on it. I doubt I'll ever use the EZ lube.

Looks great! You’re going to love the braking of your rig now, it’ll reduce the driving stress a bunch. At least it does for me.

Great job. I’ve been watching this thread for awhile now. I ordered my disc break setup from Bill at stopyourtrailer this past Tuesday. Waiting for the order to come in and start my installation. Thanks for all of the pictures, it’s really helped with my planning.

Completed my test drive a couple days ago, everything works great. Before, I had my controller set to electric at max setting (10) and I could just feel the trailer brakes a little. Now I have it set to EOH and a 5 to keep the wheels from locking up. Much better.

Well, my brother in law came in town to help me install my disc brakes upgrade. (I should say I helped him installing my upgrade). We took our time, started Thursday and finished today. We worked about 4 hrs per day. Finished it up today and test drove and really like this upgrade. Like Scott, I had my electric brakes set at 10. Going to set them at 5.5. While I have the under belly off going to change my black and gray tank valves tomorrow to Valtera valves, then hopefully we’ll be ready for a road trip this summer.
Thanks for all the pictures and install steps posted here. It really helped with understanding the process.

I went out to the truck this morning to double check that I had set it and it was set properly. Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks again everyone for posting. It really helps in understanding the process for those of us that are mechanically challenged.

Glad you took the leap!
I never had anything move around from trying to stop until my test run with the disc brakes LOL. I had to revise some of my travel storage!

I did some pretty good braking when we were testing the brakes and didn’t think about checking the cabinets so I might be in trouble with the DW when we start to load it up next month. 🙂

Whenever our schedules work out; or we might be in Tucson next Feb. It took me about 20-25 hours to do it, but I was not in a big hurry.

I just did some rework on the brake lines but neglected to check the flex lines clearance to wheels until this morning (we are pulling out on Thursday to our May-Aug CG). One was too close and one was right up against a tire. Fixed them with more clamps .
So with that said, make sure do your own flex lines check as mine were just fine ... that is until the 5er was lowered back to normal running position
