Air Conditioner A/C Compressor Doesn't Kick On
The main (ducted) A/C unit will run /blow air but the compressor never kicks on to provide cool air. Any ideas to try before I take it to the shop?

What is the age and model of your rig? Do you have one ducted and one not? What thermostat do you have? Does the other AC (if you have one) work. Give us as much info as you can.

We have 2014 3735MK with two AC units working off a shared thermostat. The non ducted AC is working. The ducted unit is not cooling but blows air.

If it is a dometic Brisk Air ii it could be one of the units with defective evaporator coil. They leak refrigerate and no longer cool. Just maybe that is the problem you units age falls right in the years when the defective coils were manufacured. Again if this is the problem Dometic will replace the unit you will pay the labor. If your tech confirms this is the problem go to Dometic with Model and serial

Ours (brisk air/ducted) failed after 21 months exactly as described above. Tech described as a sealed unit, $1200. Replaced under dometic warranty, by Ricky's RV repair in Sieverville, TN. Labor and unit cost was covered. Only had to pay the service call charge.

Dometic standard Warranty is two years if in that time frame it will be replaced as 1retired 06 mentioned above. If out of two year Warranty and problem is the Evaporator Coil Dometic will Replace unit Service Call and Labor on you.

After taking the coach to the shop we learned the AC unit was no longer good or repairable. It was a Dometic Blizzard about 6 months over warranty so we had to pay about $1400 to replace it.
