What are your favorite additions or improvements?
I have found out quite a bit over the years from other people on this and the SOB forum I used to belong to. People mention things you never knew existed but that improve your RV experience. I would like people to share their favorite ones here, so others can benefit.
Here are mine:
Valterra Valve - the best, easiest and cheapest fix for leaky tanks
keyless entry - basically a combination lock which replaces your regular lock. Great at a campground so you don't have to take your keys with you. Our last trailer came with one and we found it so handy that we bought one for the Monty before our first camping trip.

Going to have to start again on the new rig. But on the old one:
!. Shark bite shut offs on all water lines
2. IS and Disk Brakes
3. Ventura valve
4. MCD shades
5. Solar
6. Fence post for extra sewer pipe
7. Changed the screen door to a dark tinted storm door

I have done several to each of my past and present rigs.
1 insulation between the basement and living area of the rig.
2 shark bite valves on all water lines.
3 addition of extra 110V plugs in bed room and kitchen.
4 venture valve
5 roll out tool box in basement.

- Solar
- Disc Brakes (love) & IS (jury is still out)
- Slider tray is basement
- LEDs around and inside island
- USB Charge Port fed off of Batteries
- Switched few non-LED lights to LED Lights (seems the main lights I used were the ones the factory didn't install LEDs on)

Thanks! When I started this thread I was hoping for things people added or bought separately for their units, not stuff that the units already came with. I should have been more specific.

Montanas do not come with IS. It must be added and is expensive. I don't have it but love the disc brakes I installed.

It monitors your refrigerator boiler temperature; automatically shuts down and restarts your unit as needed. Mine also has lower and upper vent fans to enhance cooling.... Overall, it has improved the efficiency and effectiveness of my refrigerator.

I really like my Progressive Industries 50 amp hard wired electrical system protection and my Sailun tires for hardware items. I also like my Little Travler Dish especially when boondocking and my ice maker for creature comforts.

SharkBite fittings sold at Lowes, Menards, ACE Hardware are water fittings that just push into place and lock on your water lines. Say you wanted a shutoff valve to your stool. Just cut the line square and push the SharkBite shutoff valve onto each end ... you're done. There are other brands similar to the SharkBite brand that work the same. http://www.supplyhouse.com/SharkBite-Fittings-595000

Where have you found it is advantageous to install the Sharkbite cutoffs in the water lines? Sounds like a good idea to me.
