slides
I Just had the boom repaired at a dealer they send it out to a hydraulic shop new seals and one new line, now the problem is when the slides go out they buck and jerk like crazy until they are out in is not a problem, your thought s please. I think there is air in the line if so will it fix itself after a while or is there something to be done I don.t trust the dealer

The other thing to consider is did they mess up the slide adjustment by removing a ram and then re-installing it... I would have marked all areas before removal and taken pictures. Maybe they did and it is something else. Would have thoughtany air in line would have made it out and back to resevoir by them operating slide before you got it back. John

Since the slide comes in without issue and it is only extending that you have the jerking I don't think it has anything to do with adjustment. The cylinder should be able to be removed without changing the adjustment, the only thing involved with the removal and replacement of the cylinder is the extend/retract stop point nuts.
I would be betting there is still air in the extend side which certainly will cause the type of action you describe. You could bleed that line by using a bucket under the fitting at the cylinder and loosen it and attempt to extend the slide, if there is air in the line that should take care of it. Cycling the slide numerous time may also get rid of the air in the system.
I would not touch any adjustments until I was sure it is not air in the system.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking as well they also replaced the hose on the same slide but that ain't the one that's bucking but I still believe there is air in the lines

Generally if you fully extend and retract all the slides 4 - 5 times, they self bleed the air into the reservoir which then disappates.
