What part will you be passing thru? And North/south or east/west?
And, I guess, how flexible are you?

Mountain View, AR is a neat town w/Blanchard Springs Caverns (Great) and the Ozark Folk Arts Center. Pretty area but very windy mountain roads! Have fun. Hope all is working well, now?! Best wishes.

Lake Catherine SP near Hot Springs has been renovated with full hook up sites. Hot Springs is a good visit for about 2 days unless the ponies are running. Bull Shoals/ White River State Park is a great campground in the Northern part of the State. As Chris mentioned, Blanchard Springs Caverns is a must see and the entire White and Buffalo River Scenic Waterway has great views. If you are interested in a day float/trout fishing trip on the White River PM me and I'll give you the name of a guide we often use. Jim

I would highly recommend seeing the Great Passion play. It’s in Eureka Springs. We liked it so much that we took my parents back to see it. I’ve been there a total of 2-3 times and I wouldn’t hesitate to see it again if I had the opportunity. Well worth the trip just for that IMHO! When we were there the whole area seemed to be religiously oriented and very enjoyable.
Oh and Eureka Springs is only about 50 miles south of Branson, not the best roads but not that far away either.

Berryville, AR has the Saunders Museum. It's one of those places that aren't touristy. Just south of Branson.

If you're going to Mountain view, try to do it on the weekend instead of mid week. A world of difference.

Eureka Springs is a great stop, although US 62 is a little challenge for a few miles. While there, take in Branson, and stop by the War Eagle Mill in War Eagle. Drive back through Rogers and enjoy Fayetteville and Bentonville. Fall is a beautiful time there.

If you plan to go to a Eureka Springs, in Blue, Ar/Blue, Mo, there is a resort, The Great Outdoor Resort. It has been a while but it was a very nice resort. It is about 25 miles to Branson if I recall correctly. We had a nice drive from there to ES, the Ozarks, and to Branson. The resort sits on the south end of Table Rock Lake
