Jeep caravan, with my truck
Nosebleed trip up the mountain, we had a ball. Saw the first Rattler, when it hit the high 70's, they came out of hiding. We are glad we have the Snake Gaiters.
Going on another trip today. Love this country around here!

That one looks like a Speckled Rattlesnake... The front coloring of the "stripes" are very speckled than as you approach the rear the stripes are more distinct. Here's a link - look for the "Crotalus mitchelli":

Too bad you couldn't put something near it to get the scale but it does look full grown (a little over four feet). This one picture is fine and I wouldn't want to find the family. I do love seeing pictures of wildlife in their natural habitats as long as they are safely taken. This is a good one!
