Venting a second battery box.
My rig came with two Interstate batteries. One is in a box vented through the front bulkhead but the second is in a reguler plastic battery box without the vent tube. From what I have read they both should be vented. I can find similar vented boxes to the one installed but they come with another through the bulkhead vent and I'd rather not cut a second hole if I can avoid it. Is there a fitting I can use to tee the second hose into the first, and if so, would that be sufficient to vent two batteries? What have you guys that have two batteries done?

Mine came new with one vented through floor and out the top through bulkhead, the other only tee'd into the first vent tube out the bulkhead.

I have twin 6V batteries and when we purchased them we also purchased a single box that held both. There is a single vent line off the top of the box out the original hole.

Use a 1 1/4" ABS Y to combine the two vents together. Also be sure to add a air intake through the bottom of 2nd battery box and the basement floor, like the factory supplied box.

Ours came with two battery boxes that were connected together by a T fitting and vented out the front of the trailer.

I cut holes in my second battery box and used PVC connections and swimming pool vacuum hose (available at most hardware stores) to connect to the existing battery box vent. For my Montana (2006) the pool vacuum hose was used in the original installation. It is a real simple connection.
