Computer desk shelf
I thought I would title this so the search engine will find it.
Maybe the titles are part of the problem.
I have my laptop and the printer, the digital camera, and calculator that about takes up the desk space.
I have started a new on the road business, lots of paperwork and 3 ring binders.
SO, I says to myself; "Hershel, you need more space!"
Hershel and I whipped this up today.
Now, all you good wood bangers don't be too hard on the ole Ozzman, wood has never been one of my strong suits, I can't strike an arc on it, and the Plasma cutter just makes nice smelling smoke.
I do plan on staining and covering it with some varnish, or something.

That should do a fine job of extending that space a little. Nice work as always Ozz, we've come to expect nothing less from you bud...
Nothing like actually using a space for a while to figure out what suits you. I'd be looking for a way to move that printer off the desktop also.
That would free things up too. Would it fit inside a cabinet?

Thanks, Ozzie.
A guy could raise it up on a U-shaped shelf-bracket, then you could use the desk space under it.
Depending on your model of RV, different places, I know it would fit in the cabinet above the TV in a 3400RL like mine.

Ozz - Great job! For some reason I thought there was a keyboard drawer under there from the factory - guess not.

Brad
We purchased a keyboard drawer and put in the same area as Ozz's shelf. The nice thing about the purchased one is it swivels and height is adjustable and it has a mouse shelf as well. I had pictures at one time but they have gone away. Next time I'm out there, I'll take a couple of pictures. It was not hard to install either. If you are interested I can email you on how we did the install.
Happy trails..........................

That would be great Sue - I like my wireless keyboard instead of that tiny laptop one.

Hi Mike,
No, that would be too much like the Electrical, Heating & Cooling business I sold to retire. I really enjoy working on mine, it takes so long to do many of these mods, I would be pretty expensive to hire out. I get from $75.00 to $100.00 per hour back in Kansas City for my part time work in the summer. I've been in the Kansas City Market so long, that other Heating and Cooling companies call me to troubleshoot jobs they have trouble figuring out. I also have a handful of old customers that I do some work for.
My new Company is called 'Wizard of Oz Wind Toys' Wind socks, spinners, flags and such.
Just jump starting it now.

Nice touch Ozz. I had a similar project on my to do list for the little woman. Be glad when I can retire and do such pleasurable work.

Thanks, O.V., I am half way through the next project, shelves under the desk. I have my third coat of varnish on the sliding shelf. it 'cooks in' quickly in the hot Arizona Sun.
