All I can tell you is how it works for us. We connect to 30 amp probably 90% of the time or more.
We can run two high-draw items simultaneously along with several low-draw items. Remember this is what works for us, not necessarily for anyone else.
The high-draw items I'd include in our list are
1. AC
2. Microwave
3. Toaster
4. Hair Dryer on high speed (1500 watt)
5. Washer and Dryer running simultaneously (count as 1 high draw item)
6. Electric heater running on high (1500 watt)
7. Electric water heater element
The low draw items - we run as many as we want and it doesn't seem to cause a problem with two high-draw items running.
1. TVs - both can be running.
2. electric heaters on low. Both running on low just about equals one on high.
3. Fridge, two laptop computers, radio, several lights, electric toothbrush, etc.
