Then it seems an easy choice IMO. Sailun would be my choice, and was . As said I would stay away from any E rated ST tire .
G rated tire is the right option provided you have the wheels rated for 110 psi

I've followed tire threads for years on this and other RV forums. I recall some negative posts about blowouts with Maxxis tires, but my take away is they're not as bad as most of the Chinese tires. I would have looked into Maxxis, but I'd already concluded Sailun was the best for me.

Just a "newbie" comment but let me put it this way. You will spend 50-100K on a new Montana and then want to find a "great deal" on tires. It amazes me that I see comments like all over the universe LT-vs-ST, E-vs-G, 100-vs-300 dollar tires. Yes, I paid 300.00 per tire to replace my new Raineer tires that came with my Montana HC (2017 HC 370BR, 12960 GVW), 5 days after getting it. Call it insurance, call it peace of mind, call to not having to deal with major repairs at the absolute wrong time, call it sleeping at night, I don't care what you call it. There are virtually zero negative comments on the G 614, I wanted the best and I believe that that is what I got. Did I over pay by 100.00/tire, maybe. The old adage still applies to everything today, 'you get what you pay for". We will see in 5-10 years from now.

As far as negative comments, G614's have a better reputation now then they once did, they had a lot of issues. I bought mine in 2010 knowing that, but they were pretty much the only game in town. That is not the case now.
I sure have to disagree on G614 being the best, just reading reviews the Sailuns in the past 5 years have proven to be the better tire then the G614's ever were. This is not counting the countless reports on forums about them. But to each his own.
12960 GVWR ,and a G rated tire I would assume you have checked your wheels ,and they are rated for 110 psi ? Or did you have to replace your wheels ?
On edit, your Fifth is about 14K on GVWR, so the G rated tires do make more sense.

Yes, my rims are rated for 110psi. I can't disagree with the Sailuns resent reviews, they seem to be very good. The problem that I have is with Tredit (Sailuns manufacturer). My perception is that they put out (except Sailuns) a poor product and when the reviews pile up they simply change their name to something new. The Raineer tires that I replaced are on sale on E Bay for 99.00 new, delivered. When you reverse engineer that number Tredit is only putting in +-20.00US material and labor into the tire. The Sailuns are different and for the additional 50-75.00 per tire I decided on the G 614. Of course everyone's situation/preferences'/needs are different. Question: How was your experience with the 614's?

Tredit is just a distributor of tires, Fact is they peddle many brands of tires, Sailun was established in 2002 in the National Economic and Technological Development Zone in Qingdao, China. Now, Sailun sells over 30 million tires annually in over 50 countries worldwide. Tredit is one of many distributors in the world. In no way are they the manufacturer of Sailuns or any other brand they sell.

The producers of poor tire products is not Tredit. It is the various tire manufacturers who, utilizing the "Wal-Mart" philosophy (make it cheaper), produce low cost tires for the RV market. The RV market is equally culpable in this strategy as they are always looking to save a buck anywhere they can. Buying a tire for $70 is much more attractive than one costing $75 (or $85 or $105, etc.), To Montana's credit, they know the problems associated with cheap tires and have recently upgraded to Sailuns on the Montana (tough luck for the HC models). The fact that their competitors moved to Sailuns first may have been another motivator.
Montana has offered the G614s, an extra cost upgrade, for many years. Knowledgeable buyers would insist on them when buying as the standard tire was junk, Now the standard tire is a Sailun, which is an excellent choice.

Curious to where you bought your G614's ,and paid $210-235 per tire , that would have been the price if you paid $50-75 more then the cost of a Sailun tire. I paid $635.01 out the door for a set of four Sailun S637 ST 235/85/16 G rated. Last I checked the G614's were just double the price of the Sailun S637.
My experience with the G614's were okay, no problems, common problem with the Goodyears G614's beside a history of blowouts is there concave wear on both sides of the tire where they are smooth. Mine aged out before they got bad enough to have to be replaced. As said the G614's at the time were the only game in town when I bought them .Sailuns had not been out very long, and were unknown, certainly not the case now.

PolarBear88, both Woodturner and MLH suggestions are good choices. The G614's from Goodyear are a bit on the pricey side but well worth the extra $$. I've been through too many flat tires with previous "china bombs" to know pay a little more now and save paying a LOT more in the future, with more peace of mind travelling down the road makes it for me. Just sayin'.

There is no question that there is a lot of crap tires in the marketplace and rhetoric in the cloud but I think that we all generally agree (and may disagree only by very small degrees). Weather you purchase G-614's or Sailun's there far better than the other options available. It's similar to the Ford-vs-Chev discussion, and NO I do not want to go there!

I got the G 614's on my rig and ready to hit the road in a couple days and see how they do. Not 100% on what pressure to run?

Not sure what rig you have, but if it is heavy enough to use the G614's, run them at 110 psi cold, no less than 100 psi cold. We've been running them for over four years now, and have no reason to change, and have never had a failure or flat with about 40,000 miles on them.

There is really no reason not to run them at max pressure.

There is such a thing as inflation charts.
If 110 psi makes you feel better run 110, if you want to get technical weigh your axles, and go by a inflation chart .

I put them on my 3710 FL, 2016 Montana. Not able to weigh axles at this time. Just run at the 110 for now? Headed to ND in a couple days
