Body Shop for Montana Repair
Our 2011 Montana 3465's sheet metal around the driver's side wheel well was rearranged when it's Goodyear Marathon blewout this week. I really can't decide who to call for the estimates and repair work. Do auto body shops do these things or should I be looking at a Montana dealer, Camping World,???? It destroyed the skirt and also the aluminum sheetmetal directly behind the wheel. I'll appreciate any and all info...Thanks.

Best to find an RV Dealership that has a paint booth large enough to house your Monty.

That flimsy sheet metal sifding is referred to as a "J" panel. Almost any RV repair place knows how to get it in the correct color. Fabricating the wall behind the wheel isn't too difficult. I don't know for sure if an auto body place will also do the work. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

Rv collision centers are the place to go. May I ask where are you now, then someone may point you in the right direction?

I'm going through the same problem you have. It will go back to my dealer as they have a shop to repair it.
In my case there is nobody else any nearer. The one shop nearby that could have done the repair closed a month ago. I will hear from the insurance co. tomorrow but the adjuster agreed, he just needs to confirm it.
Talk to the adjuster and dealer.

Once you find a repair facility, are you going to deal with Goodyear to make it right instead of using your insurance company? If we don't hold their feet to the fire, they will keep selling these China Bombs. I had the same issue coming back from Florida the other day and messed up the RV. Called Goodyear, they wanted pictures, send them the tire that blew and get estimates for repair. I should hear back in a couple of weeks. Will also discuss upgrading to G614's for the remaining tires before they explode.

I've contacted my dealer and he's working up an estimate for us. Goodyear is sending some paperwork and wants the tires back for exam. First time I've had a blowout in about 10 years of Montanas and I had two in about 50 miles...just my time I guess :-) Thanks for the info guys and gals. This is why I love the MOC...!! Now we have to decide on Marathon replacement..

Received an email from Goodyear today. They are paying for all damages to RV plus $180 for the tire that blew. Have to call back Monday and discuss trade in of the other 4 Marathons for G614s.

Had the same thing happen, got estimate from Camping World and Montana dealer. Dealer was over $500 cheaper than Camping World. They did a good job on the repair.
