AC adapter wanted
Saw a 50 amp ac adapter on a rig once that plugged into the ac receptacle on the tear of a Montana. It is a right angle connector at the input and a regular female connector to attach the 50 amp cord to. Total length appeared to be about 18 inches and yellow colored. Anyone know where to get one?

If you saw it at the Rally, it was on my rig and it is the one jwedell has provided the link for. The only catch is that to get it to hang down like it's supposed too you have to rotate the socket on the back of the Monty 1/4 turn other wise it hangs off to the side. Jim (NCFischers) actually turned the socket for me. Once I saw him do it, I wouldn't be afraid to do it again, just didn't know what I might get into. I'm not the best at working with electricity.

Along the same line of electric plugs:
Is there a 10 foot 50amp cable available -
more and more I am finding that I dont need the heavy 25 foot to reach the service post.
Thanks

Probably not. I would buy 50 amp male and female plugs. Cut the cord to 10 feet, and put the plugs on the cut ends. Now you have 10 foot and 15 foot cords. Plug them together and you have 25 feet total. Just make sure opposite the female end you put the male plug and opposite the male end you put the female. Thats what I will do.

Ha - ha! That was the first thing I noticed when I followed the link.
However, those plugs are very expensive. I know because I bought a set and made an emergency power cord for back up use. The plugs alone cost at least that much.

After further review, I noted that $76.73 was the cheapest around and up to $115.00 at some locations. It is not that much of a concern to me. Just looks like a lot of strain on the cord/connector with the straight in unit. I may look into having another outlet installed up front which would be of more use to me anyway.

Guess I look at it differently. I don't sees any strain relief benefit.

Farmboy, at that price, I rather think I cannot see any strain relief either. (My wallet included)

True that. I also made a small jumper for my extension cord and most places wanted near $100 for the female plug by itself. Finally found what I needed at a junk yard for a lot less.

Went looking again, thought $76.73 was expensive, now I see it is $88.40.
