Some Finished, More Planned
Well, finished adding shelves to current cabinets. Kitchen wall cabinet 6'wide X 4'high, and one shelf? Not anymore, almost double the shelving space. Installed new shelving in current bathroom cabinet, the originals were spaced far enough apart to store small appliances. Finished replacing all 921 bulbs(35 total)with LED's,wow what a difference. Finished changing the stove and oven to igniter, love this one, no more kneeling to light the oven. Lower storage organized, eye bolts installed in front wall, layflat tie downs in floor for BQ, fishing pole holders installed on ceiling. Additional waste valve to isolate system from hose connection, no more suprises of what is behind door #2. Install Max Air and Fantastic Vent covers(one each). Now, we are getting ready to remove couch and install a sewing/craft center, still have to weigh the sofa, so I can get close on weight of new system, has anyone done this. The parts for the water filter system have been ordered. Working on converting generator storage area into tool storage, with cabinet and drawers. Busy times.

Wow, great job! Keystone is learning. At least some, if not all, the new rigs for next year do have LED lighting and no more pancakes. On the other hand the new models still seem to be coming with way too few shelves.

I really don't see not installing useful shelves(other then cost savings and a little weight) the addition of shelves, actually stiffens the structure they are installed in. The DW said the only down side is now she can't stack the plates 48 high anymore :-), but with the addtional shelves, I install two 4' across the 6' span, giving us 4 shelves with a 1' spacing and 2 shelves 2' wide with 2' spacing. Also had a cupboard above the power distribution center, added a shelve there and added 4 tupperware boxes for quick tools, parts, etc.

Do you have pictures of the shelfs and description of how you attached them. The cabinet bodies seem so thin and I haven't figured a way to attach them yet. Any help you have would be great!

WOW! Great modifications! I am jealous! A craft center! Holy cow! I was thinking of taking my cricut craft cutter on this trip to Bozeman today but couldn't figure out where I would put all of the supplies for it. Now I know...REMOVE THE COUCH!!! I have my recliner so who cares!
I just bought my rig and I am already jealous of the new rigs coming with LEDs and no pancakes! WOW! Now if they could just make sure they caulk the bottom of the shower door I would be a happy camper!
Congratulations on being so productive! Can you send a little of that motivation our way! I am getting tired of mouseproofing!

Yep, that caulking is important. We had spent about 25 nights in the unit, and I asked her if she ever sat on the couch, she said no, and I said, I had never set on it either, we both went and set on it, said ok, we don't need it, save the air mat and get rid of the couch. Bingo craft center (desk is mine for flytying). She needs alot more room, quilts, sewing, jewelery making, scrapebooking

Great mods, we like to customize our units to our lifestyle. Sue has done this in our trailer as well for her jewelry making, she is bringing her good sewing machine this trip also.
Keep the good ideas coming, you are giving us all motivation to keep customizing.

Grayghost03: The pics/Mods look great! Really like the new shelfs. That is exactly what I want to do with our cabinets. What stain did you use to match the Hickory wood in the Montana?

To start with, PackerFan, you got robbed, bad call. Now back to the question, I actually found matching colored shelves at HD, I just cut to size, in the kitchen, the bathroom, trim don't match real great but I had the trim, and just routed out the grove so it would recess and clear the door, when closed.

The mods look GREAT! I really like the handle idea, screwed to the basement floor to hold your grill down. That is a great idea and one I will probably steal!

I figured out on my old 5ver, that the handles bolted to the floor, lay flat and make a great pop up for hooking bungee cords to.
