No more worries !
Don't have to worry if I have enough truck for my trailer anymore !
I just went all the way, and bought a single rear axle semi !

It has a Detroit Diesel 12.7L series 60, Eaton 10 speed, with only 512k miles.

Hey man, WOW!!! Your driving in style now!! Do you know if this was a line truck or what they used it for. 2 axle tractor like that would be pulling doubles out of places like Fed X. If that the case you got yourself a new truck.
Here is why I am saying that. The trailers that you see for fed x are not loaded to capacity so they are 55 to 60,000 lbs going down the road. That DD 60 and the 10 speed is not working hard at all. So you got yourself a cruiser with no real weight on the truck and again if it was Fed X they take real good care of there truck. I think they do a 25,000 mile "B" service and a 100,000 mile "A". That tractor is going to last you a long long time.
I think you may know this but make sure that you have painted on both sides of that unit "PRIVATE COACH". This way you don't have to go thru weight stations along your travel's. The reason for painting it on the truck instead of stickers or magnetic signs, some states might think your trying to get away with something. I have had that happen to me.. Long story for that.. Good luck.

Not sure its commercial history, prior to hauling a horse trailer, (2nd owner), to hauling a 20k 5er, (3rd owner).
I work for FedEx freight, and know the service regiments. I don't know of any FedEx company owner sleeper trucks tho.
Current owner has replaced many parts. He has all receipts, and records. Just had an oil change with sample, and fuel filter change.
He's currently driving around with it, and wants to drive half way to meet so I can inspect, and drive before buying, I'd say its an honest truck.
It ain't perfect, but for 20 years old truck, it seems sound.

Congrats from another FXF driver. I thought about doing something like that ,but after 40 years of driving these big rigs, for me , I just didn't want to feel like I was still at work when RVing. But that being said I still think that is a great set up and you have a powerful, safe, secure rig, and definitely will do the job.

We drive Volvo's daily, and thought the same thing. But hey, I'm familiar with the model, and how they handle, and turn.
My semi turns better than my Ford F350 long bed, crew cab !

WOW Again!!!! That is a great set up between the truck and the trailer. Looks like you can be 90 deg. from the front of the trailer and still hit the pin. I forgot to ask do you have air ride cab & seat's. And is the sleeper box on air?

the detroit engine is a great engine. the ultra shift 10 speed is ok but can be made better if you find an eatin rep to reprogram it. i had mine reprogrammed so that i can start out in 5th gear. i usually start out in 4th unless on a hill. they can also raise the shift rpm points so that it can double shift gears so from 4th to 6th. look over your shocks but unless they have been changed they often get over looked and they make a huge difference in drivability. brake air cans are cheap and fail unexpectedly. change them or keep a spare. a dyno test is cheap insurance that everything is running right. our dealership does them for $150.

I always have been told that the pin on the trailer needs to ride directly over or slightly in front of the rear axle of the tow vehicle. The recommendation may not apply to Class 5's. Just curious.
