The remote can do this. Do you have a remote? Could the button be pushed accidentally?

Yup, the 2011 came with a remote and this is what it looks like when it turned on the scare lights.

Gosh, how many times has this very subject come up here on the Forum!?!? Don't feel like the Lone Ranger when it comes to this happening because it has happened to others many times. That remote has been more problems than convenience and I think that is why Montana decide to no longer put them in their units. Hope this didn't sound sarcastic because it wasn't meant to be because it happens to folks at least once a month here on the Forum. Good luck and hope that was the cause for all your lights being on and not that someone decided to make a home of your unit.

Are you the original owner?? If you purchased used it may have originally had a remote that you didn't get, yet lights may have been activated by someone else's remote, garage door opener or any number of remote control devises.

I am the original owner, but this unit was a leftover from Harrisburg camping world, with all of the problems we had with it I think it was a parts bank for them, the deal was it came with a 5 year warranty

If you look in the front compartment where the battery is, you will see a black molded electronic assembly that is about 4-5 inches square. That assembly is the receiver for the remote and this is what can control scare lights, step light, awning, etc. You will see lots of fuses coming off it and the unit makes note of what it controls. One of these fuses will be for the problem you are seeing. Until you get the receiver back to its normal state, you will not be able to control those lights.

I believe if you disconnect from shore power and disconnect battery for a few seconds lights will go out. Of course they will be out with power off but I think they will stay out. Worth a try.

Yes, it's remote. If you turn it on with the remote, you cannot control it with the regular off/on switch. Same goes for turning it on with the switch - if on, the remote can't turn it off.

Remotes not cheap. Check with some of your techs, may have one stashed away.

I paid $25 for my remote. Do a search for the thread on remotes.

My unit (bought used) has the remote. I got it to work by changing the battery (weird size). I found it mostly worthless and don't use it. Also the battery in the remote has to replaced often.

I use it all the time. Push a button and the landing gear goes in/out. Especially handy when hooking up to raise or lower while in the truck out of the rain. Another and the stabilizers go up.down. Leaving camp and the wind starts up, button for the awning-in from the cab of the truck. My friends are jealous....
Maybe it's just me.

Landing gear up and down, I see your point there, however because of a trifold bed cover I can not see the hitch at all while in the truck. Rear stabilizer motor bit the dust years ago (new one $300+ NOT) removed it and use a drill to raise and lower (WAY faster). As far as the awning, I would have to have the remote in my pocket 24/7 for that to be any faster than going to the switch in the panel.

My remote uses a 12vdc battery. I have only used it a couple of times, but may use it more if it is raining when I want to leave and can leave the awning out till morryde steps are stored inside.
