Wiring
Do any members know if it's possible to get a wiring diagram from Keystone? I have 1 ceiling light (out of 6) that has an open ground. All other interior lights work as they are supposed to. Have no idea where to begin looking for the loose ground wire.

Many people have tried with no success. All units aren't necessarily done the same way.

Does the light come on at the same time others are turned on?
If so see about pulling adjacent fixtures and see if to can find the issue that way.

The light is activated by both the door switch ( turns on 4 ceiling lights) and a switch in the control panel ( turns on all 6) the closest light to this one is one of the lights over the kitchen island, about 18" or so away. I've pulled the wires for the problem light out of the ceiling about 18" or so until they are tight. Both hot and ground wires are coming from door side wall above microwave and not going in the direction of any other ceiling light. Makes no sense to me. The hole in the ceiling is about an inch and a half diameter so I can't get a look.

Your idea might be a good one come to think of it. I guess Keystone could have ran a short ground wire from another light to that one, if that was the case shouldn't both lights be dead? That's what's got me baffled.....

They may not run a separate ground to the ceiling lights. It is possible that they use some metal framing to connect the grounds to and just daisy chain the hot wire. If there was something metal close to where the fixture is at, you might be able to run a new wire to that.

I have to ask. How did you determine you have an open ground to that fixture? And did you verify +12 v at that fixture?

X2 on Bills question if you have 12 volts at the light use a jumper wire to a none good ground and see if the light comes on or is the light bad?

I don’t think they keep diagrams. Just shoddy workmanship. They don’t keep paint codes either. All it would take is one of the RV companies doing the right thing to force the rest to do the same. Sometimes I think it’s a conspiracy.

A wiring diagram from Keystone! Ha-ha- ha-! I’ve called Goshen in 2011 for or 3580 RK and our current 2013 Big Sky. They say: “ we just run the wires until they fit”. I dropped the entire belly on our 3800 RE to install See Level gauges and what a mess I found. Shame on them for poor craftsmanship!

I've contacted them on a couple of occasions and they have been great to work with. Don't hesitate.

They told me basically that they don't know how they are wired. I think it is up to the guy who is working the production line on that given day. I think mine was done on a monday morning.
